Strange things are afoot in the circle k. (besides the damn shaking of the threads here which is getting really annoying)
There's at least 5 of us on d3rmt that have been working over zuni rings, buying them on the GAH and lfipping them onto the RMAH to make a pretty decent profit. Regardless of the amount of flips that we've done, the market has come down over the last month, and especially over the last 3 or 4 days, to where I was able to buy low end zuni's for 300k, or less, pretty consistently. That changed pretty quickly earlier today. The cheapest zuni's are going for now is 750k - and those are being snapped up pretty quickly. Overall looks like the price on just about all base or base + rings (not talking about the cc/cd rings) have doubled since early today. Don't know if they changed the drop rate and nowhere near as many new rings are hitting the GAH or what happened, but something has. If anybody has any insight into this, please share, as I made a very nice profit having purchased a ton of rings over the last few days when the price has dropped and now I've sold just about all of my low ends for triple what I paid for them. Ideas ???? Thoughts ???? |
For those of you flippin zuni rings

It seems like a high frequency buyer (i.e., bot) has picked up on the market. It was only a matter of time and it took a lot longer than one would have expected.

I was dabbling in the Zuni Pox market earlier for a little, (made about 1m + $0.25 in about 20 minutes) and I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I already know that CC/AS are both higher margin affixes, but is there anything else to look for?
BTW, I only play for a short time each day, so hopefully I'm not cutting into anyone from d3rmt's profits. Mainly just using this to get into flipping. ^^ |

@ZRyoku16 - keep working the market - there should be plenty of room here.
As for what to look for, here's what I've seen help raise the price. #1 Anytime there's a decent + to damage (20+ to 40, ie add 23-46 damage) raises the price by 500k - 1M. Conversly, having just a + to Min or a + to Max doesn't do much - even if you have both. #2 Anytime you have either strength or dexterity over 100 you can mark up the ring by 500k - 1M. If the Str or Dex is over 130 then you can really add to the price. #3 Anytime Intelligence is over 100 you can start marking up the ring. About 90% of all zuni rings have an intelligence range of 80-90, so when you get a 100+ you score. The rings with int higher than 180 are going for a huge price now and even the 170's are insane. I picked up a 170 for less than a million a few days ago and a 180 for around 3M. #4 Having the all res of 70 (max) doesn't seem to do much. #5 CD has a range of 32-34. Having a 34 doesn't seem to do much as compared to a 32, unless you have other stats to help - ie, a 180 int with 34 cd will go for more than a 180 int with a 32 cd. #6 Att speed greatly increases the price, but i don't see a market for these rings - ie, I just don't see att speed, rings selling - they just expire and get re-listed. I bought one about 4 days ago and I haven't been able to flip it yet. #7 CC raises the price to an insane level. The 3% CC rings will have a min price of around 24M right now. Thats down from the 32M or so when I started looking at prices back in November ... however, I don't see these rings selling ofter either. There's just not that large of a market for the high end rings. #8 Lastly, getting a trifecta ring with cc/ias/cd will make the price upwards of 100M. I have no idea how these sell, however, if they sell at all. |

Ok - so looking at the market today, i sold 7 of the 9 rings I had listed last night, most of them having intelligence of 120 - 140. The only rings that I didn't sell were the high value ones (180 intelligence and 6% ias ring).
On the RMAH, not so good, as I only sold 1 ring of 10 that I had listed. That one sold at $2.36 - so after the $1.00 auction fee I'll have $1.36 - and I paid no more than 600k for the ring as it was one that I bought when the market was way down. There are also 6 rings listed for $1.25 on the RMAH - and there had only been an average of 1 or 2 the last week or so listed that low. What's weird is that there are also a ton of "expired" auctions still showing on the RMAH. Something messed up on Blizzard's servers. Anyway, I took off most of the rings I had listed on the RMAH and I put them up on the GAH for an equivalent gold buy-out. I'll report back later what happened to those. If anybody else flips anymore, please chime in at what you bought them at and what you were able to sell them for. thanks |

@baccarat0809 Thanks for the help. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple rings that fit that criteria that slipped by me. lol
I bought some up last night and manged to sell a few already. On the RMAH: Sold 3 Rings for $1.25 ($0.25 after fees), Bought these for 600k or less each. Not much profit, but a little more than I make in a farming run from gold pickup. Sold 1 Ring For $2.99 (1.99 after fees) that I bought for 850k. Had 200 LoH. On GAH Sold 2 in the 700-800k area that I bought for 500k. Sold 1 Ring for 2.5m. Had 171 Str on it. Bought it for 700k. Sold 1 Ring for 3m. Had 14%GF and 16% MF on it. Bought it at 750k. The GAH is what I sold last night before I got off. The RMAH is what was in my e-mails this morning. I'll have to wait a bit to check D3 and see if I sold anything in the GAH after I got off last night. |

Sorry to resurrect an old thread... but I just wanted to add my 2c.
Based on all the stuff I read here I thought I'd give this plipping thing a go on the EU server. So far my results have been: 12 Rings flipped, 109 million total profit. I tried to corrolate the stats of the rings, but because I have so few its really hard to say what is better. But mostly I bought rings with 150+ int (average price 4.5 mil each) and sold them for 3 to 4.5 euro each. My worst profit was 76% of money spent. Best profit was 311% (Got one with 167 int for 3.15mil, sold it for 4.5 euro) But as usual I'm at the tail end of things. I just got into crafting when 1.04 hit.... after the patch crafting was useless. I just got into legendary flipping when 1.05 hit... after the patch the droprate went up, and flipping opportunities went down. So I'm guessing when 1.07 comes out pox flipping will cease to be profitable too, just to spite me. |

@Bort
Not so sure about that. #1 There really aren't new rings coming out in 1.07 #2 there are six of us flipping zuni pox rings now - so there IS a market #3 We've been able to flip other rings as well, besides zuni poxes, to make a profit. All in now, I'm probably at +400 Million flipping rings since November. Not a bad gig if you ask me and I'm pretty certain the limited time I've been able to play (family, job, etc) has me better off spending my time playing Auction House 3 instead of runnin and gunnin monsters. Lastly - if you have time, when you make a successful flip and its a good score, please put up the information on one of our tracking threads - the data from 7 people is better than data from 5 people, etc. thanks for the update |

Time to switch markets?
As it is becoming too competitive or narrow down to certain Stats that will be good, since you guys have 6 people and have been doing it for a long time how about discussing among yourselve and set up a monopoly together. bench marking and up sell it. |

Nah, I like competition. I'm a die hard capitalist.
