I read an article saying that the new patch will go on ptr first... which means dont buy any UNID legendaries for a while.... they will probably all be crap since you can ID them on PTR and keep the good ones and sell the ugly ones

I am hoping this time they will auto ID all items when you transfer a character to the PTR. Lots of people complained about it last time.

Don't the major updates always go to PTR first?
Does that announcement mean that the release might actually happen sometime soon? |

Haven't seen this, but does it list changes? That's what I want to see.

There was a different blue post I found on a different site that said they'll be removing the incrementing death timer too, in 1.0.7. This is another step that will make the higher MP levels much less frustrating for me. Yah!
That said, having tried out the 1.0.5 PTR, I can't say I'm going to invest much or any time in the 1.0.7 one unless they're making enormous skill balance changes. PvP dueling doesn't really get me excited, but I guess it might depend upon the rewards available for it. |

I expect there to be a ptr for almost every patch from here on out.

We'll see what happens. I'm excited, but I know it will sit around in the PTR for way too long and the game will likely go stale again.

What was the duration of 1.05 PTR? does anyone remember?

Henceforth, any awesome strategies/abilities I learn during PTR will be kept confidential. I remember too clearly the nerf hammer that occurred during last PTR to meteors.

Wizards should not be used on PTR. Ever.
(I personally wasn't interested then or now regardless, because knowing my luck, the only time I'd ever find something like a 6CC Mempo is when I couldn't keep it.) |

I think the implication is that they shouldn't test so that any exploits that happen to exist on the PTR will be there when the patch goes live and people can find mad lootz.

No, it's related to what Khan was saying about meteor.
No Wizards should go on PTR so that any nerfs they want to make in 107 can wait for 108. Just imagine if rubies did in fact directly add IAS and that it was the same percentage rate as GF/MF/XP in helmets. "Oh, gee, look, CM wizards put a 31% IAS ruby in a Chant's wand and can get at least 4 APS. Welp, we better reduce the proc rate for all Energy Twister and Meteor runes to 0.001 now." |

Lylirra:
For the patch 1.0.7 PTR, unidentified items cannot be copied over from the live client to the PTR client. Since there won't be any warning or error messages for this restriction (the stash/inventory slots which held the unindentified items will just appear empty once your character is copied over), we'll be creating a reminder post in the PTR Feedback forum once the PTR is live. NO =\ |

I think Mr. Fox posts on this forum from the same dark alley where Batman's parents were murdered.
