Was just on ah just sussing it out and notice brimstone fluctuating between 20k-22k..... so though give u guys head up prob good time 2 buy few while there cheap :)

missed the 45k/brimstone price spike to sell... stuck with 2500 brimstones... gonna have to take a lost on those...

Maybe the demand is not going to outgrow current/ forthcoming supply (into AH, from existing stockpile and new brims) too much, in this patch. But I do not know, because I am not really into crafting.

I'd say brimstones are right where they should be, so I wouldn't recommend buying. I'm 100% sure they're not going to add/change anything in the near term, so brimstones are pretty much going to be used for amulet crafting. I'd say amulet crafting right now is "overhyped" because while the potential payout is big, the odds are VERY poor (something like seeing someone win the lottery so ticket sales get boosted temporarily). The problem is that even though amulet crafting is overvalued, it still costs like what, 150k + DE in addition to the brimstone to make one. So the only people who would buy brimstones en masse would be people who have the proportionate bankroll to craft. On top of this, you still have to farm the DE (since you can't buy that).

So really, let's say you have 200 brimstones (maybe just from farming the past few months). You would still need 30M gold and 200 DE to utilize all of those brimstones. The 30M gold is one thing, but farming 200 DE is still going to take awhile. Even then, 99.9% of people aren't going to use all of it to craft just amulets. So basically, you won't be needing any brimstones for awhile.

Wow they've dropped a lot.. 17K now. I might consider buying some just so I can craft.. I'm running low myself from trying to roll a decent Int ammy!

@Metta I have 110 essence already. The cost to craft is the problem for me, not the essence itself but maybe it's just me :)

what are you trying to craft @ninjax. If it's anything but amulets you can farm for the mats by salvaging the rarez...

Spend one Act 3 run laboriously picking up every Blue and Yellow. It's boring as heck and it takes forever, but you'll be astonished by the number of mats you end up with in the end. At plvl 45, they drop like popcorn, we just don't really see them anymore. As soon as you start looking for them, they're fricking everywhere.
