Summons shadow clones to your aid when you Stun an enemy. This effect may occur once every 30 seconds.






Item Details

  • Triggers from your Stuns or from Stuns performed by your pets. (See patch notes.)
  • Spawns two invincible shadow clones for 15 seconds.
  • The clones' damage is based on the ability they use, and does the same damage as if you were to use that ability.
  • Summoned clone types depend on your class.
  • Freezing or other non-stun Crowd Control will not proc the effect.
  • Stuns from items like Wyrdward and Anessazi Edge do proc the clones.
  • Doesn't proc when equipped to a follower.
  • The clones' abilities seem to benefit from your items that have bonuses to elemental damage.
  • The clones' abilities do not benefit from your items that have bonuses to skill damage.
  • When activated, an icon appears on your status bar that shows the item's cooldown.

Each clone is equipped with a 2 Handed Mighty Weapon Axe and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Cleave - Gathering Storm
  • Hammer of the Ancients - Smash
  • Leap - Call of Arreat

Set 2:

  • Bash - Pulverize
  • Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash
  • Charge - Dreadnought

Set 3:

  • Weapon Throw - Ricochet
  • Hammer of the Ancients - Rolling Thunder
  • Rend - Ravage

Set 4:

  • Frenzy - Vanguard
  • Threatening Shout - Falter

Each clone is equipped with a Hand Crossbow and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Hungering Arrow - Puncturing Arrow
  • Vault - Trail of Cinders
  • Caltrops - Torturous Ground

Set 2:

  • Entangling Shot - Bounty Hunter
  • Multishot - Arsenal
  • Marked for Death - Valley of Death

Set 3:

  • Evasive Fire - Displace
  • Elemental Arrow - Screaming Skull

Set 4:

  • Grenade - Cluster Grenades
  • Fan of Knives - Fan of Daggers

Each clone is equipped with a Daibo and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Fists of Thunder - Bounding Light
  • Mantra of Conviction - Overawe
  • Sweeping Wind - Cyclone

Set 2:

  • Deadly Reach - Piercing Trident
  • Cyclone Strike - Implosion

Set 3:

  • Crippling Wave - Tsunami
  • Exploding Palm - The Flesh is Weak
  • Blinding Flash - Self Reflection

Set 4:

  • Way of the Hundred Fists - Windforce Flurry
  • Unknown if clone uses other skills

Each clone is equipped with a Ceremonial Knife and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Poison Dart - Splinters
  • Locust Swarm - Pestilence

Set 2:

  • Poison Dart - Snake to the Face
  • Zombie Charger - Undeath
  • Grasp of the Dead - Unbreakable Grasp

Set 3:

  • Plague of Toads - Rain of Toads
  • Acid Cloud - Corpse Bomb

Set 4:

  • Spirit Barrage - Well of Souls
  • Soul Harvest - Languish

Each clone is equipped with a Flail and a Shield and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Blessed Shield - Shattering Throw
  • Shield Glare - Divine Verdict

Set 2:

  • Slash - Zeal
  • Sweep Attack - Gathering Sweep
  • Condemn - Shattering Explosion

Set 3:

  • Slash - Carve
  • Judgment - Resolved

Set 4:

  • Justice - Crack
  • Blessed Hammer - Icebound Hammer

Each clone is equipped with a 2 Handed Staff and has one of four skill sets. Both can be the same.

Set 1:

  • Spectral Blade - Thrown Blade
  • Slow Time - Time and Space

Set 2:

  • Spectral Blade - Flame Blades
  • Wave of Force - Static Pulse

Set 3:

  • Shock Pulse - Piercing Orb
  • Energy Twister - Wicked Wind

Set 4:

  • Arcane Orb - Obliteration
  • Frost Nova - Bone Chill

Guaranteed Stats

The minimum level this item can drop at is 31. Below you will find the range of stats found on the level 31 version, however the item can drop at any level above 31. The legendary effect does not change with level.

Flavour Text

"The great sorcerer Vaxo of Kehjan did not actually die in the Mage Clan Wars. In reality, he was imprisoned where all mages with shattered minds are, the Bitter Depths beneath Caldeum's Yshari Sanctum. Vaxo's famous amulet is said to have been smuggled out of there, but that is patently impossible. Once inside, no one ever leaves the Bitter Depths." -Abd al-Hazir
