I feel like I've hit a wall with my WD, it could be because I'm trying to find gear like I already have, but with better stats. My goal is to hit the 100K DPS range without buffs.

My WD can handle MP3 with relative ease. Once in a great while I will get killed when overwhelmed with a tough elite pack, but for the most part I stay alive easily. I can key farm on MP4 if I don't mind going a little slower. MP5 is really slow going for me, takes a while to kill things so I have been farming at MP3 or so.

I've been struggling with what gear to upgrade:
- To find a better black damage weapon will cost me a lot of gold from what I've seen on the AH.

- The Thing of the Deep is a drop I got. I've looked at Zuni's mojo, but it seems rather lackluster and getting decent crit chance is expensive. I think I would miss the huge pickup radius.

- I've looked at Zuni's pox, but to get something with crit chance and crit damage is rather pricey as well.

- For shoulders, Vile Ward is planned, but I'm hoping for something in the 270+ Int range. Again, not cheap.

- Feels like the prime targets for upgrades should be gloves, bracers, and amulet. Probably the helm too, although I would like to keep at least three Zuni items for the set bonus.

Vile wards aren't to bad you can get a decent pair for a good price.
Pants should be relatively cheap for you to upgrade too.
Same with your belt.

I'm going to tell you the main things I usually tell most WD's. You've chosen and know that a black weapon is the weay to go, so you're at least good there haha.

- For shoulders getting 270 int on a pair of Vile Wards is well, like you said, expensive and I think just not really worth it at this point. My goal for my wizard was always to get at least 190 or so int and then vit and pick up radius. I don't recommend buying a pair now though because you can probably craft a good pair that beats out a Vile Ward. That's my plan at least.

- For helm, I think you should look into getting yourself a Visage of Giyua. Look for one with crit chance and Acid Cloud acid cloud though is just a bonus for you at this point, so I would say just get a cheap one with like 4% or something and later on you can upgrade for that.

- For ring, get a high average damage Zuni Pox that has either a socket or high int. That'll give you a good amount of DPS. You can then aim for a crit chance Zuni pox as an upgrade further down the road.

-Either way I think you should get a Zuni mojo. It's not too expensive to get crit chance only, but it's when you add vit and other stats where they start to get expensive. Just get one with okay average damage and decent crit chance and play around with it to see if you like the 4th set bonus. If you don't go back to frog. Or keep it, I usually use the frog for framing and the string of skulls for ubers.

I'll post some other thoughts later when I have more time haha.

you should get a higher ave dmg frog - 220+ with max cc (8.5) and 200 int.
ammy, needs CC, lat least 7, probably search for a 150 int, 100 vit (you dont need that much vit), 7cc, 60 crit dmg to see what you get.
both rings need more int overall. pox is a good choice + zuni set bonus
gloves need CC as well.
belt, well, I like witching hour, but some ppl dont do to ias (which is bad, for now, for wd)
bracers are not bad - improving will cost a lot (no all rez main issue)
can def get pants with higher int (and same vit) search 100 int, 150 vit, 2 sox, 70 allrez (though might be pricy)

cant think of anything else for now - you could check my WD (in profile), but not sure is Im any good (though I do have the 100+ dps you are looking for).

Pants: I have not shopped for either in a while, although it seemed like pants got pricey. The popular choices seem to be Depth Diggers, Blackthorne's, or some rare pants. I just got Inna's Temperance as a drop, but the specs don't do anything favorable for my WD...1% CC, 9% IAS, 100 dex, 23 vit. Seem better for a Demon Hunter or Monk.

Belt: well as you mention @alyu314, the IAS isn't favored for WDs. That and the belt is expensive. But it would not go to waste, because my second favorite class is the Wizard, so it could easily be repurposed for her.

Ring: I've been looking for a Zuni Pox that I had hoped could replace one of my rings with similar stats, CC being my focus. A few that I've been bidding on have gone up to 50M+ which is too high for me on an item that does not make a huge difference right now. Perhaps need to lower my CC expectations and look at ones with just higher int and avg damage.

Ammy, Gloves: was going to look at crafting once 1.0.7 drops. In the past I've been trying to keep the same stats on my gloves that I have, but increase the INT, and they seem to get pricey. Again, need to take a look at what trade-offs I can make.

Helm: @NightCrawler9 My previous was a Visage of Giyua which I liked a bit better. I picked up this Zuni mask for very little gold just to see what it was like, but it did boost my Life about 8K, had about 60 more INT and I liked the set bonus so I kept it. I do miss the mana regen that my Visage had though, so I need to look for one with higher Int and crit chance.

Mojo: That's my second frog. The first one I bought last summer for several million. By the time I found this second one that was a bit better, the market was swamped with them. Sounds like a good plan to look for one with better stats now, higher avg damage and go back to the 8.5 CC my first one had.

I will also look at a String as you suggested @NightCrawler9. It had never occurred to me to switch mojos when fighting Ubers. I was just thinking that my large radius wasn't doing much for me the first time I attempted Ubers, since there were not lots of small monsters to kill. So if I can find one with higher avg damage, 9+ CC I may like it for the fourth Zuni bonus. I was running around a lot waiting for mana to regenerate when I last attempted Ubers on MP4.

Yeah, Inna's isn't a good choice for a WD at all. Well, it'd get you to your 100K dps mark, but that'd be just sheet dps. The main stats a WD wants for pants are int vit and all resist. Although all resists aren't that important to get on a WD because when I go on mine I don't have any on my pants and have good resists. If you do end up getting Blackthornes, don't go for one with two sockets. You'll pay out the ass for them when getting 150+ int and 150+ vit and all resists will be better

For Zuni Pox, make sure you don't just link it too yourself and go off the dps it tells you then, because it doesn't take into account the 130 int if you don't already have it from the set bonus.

The reason prices go up so much on when searching for better gloves is you have a lot of all resist on them which is holding you back big time. Gloves are mainly an offensive stat piece of gear. If you try to get gloves with Int, vit, crit chance, and crit damage (like you should, that's what I got) that'll cost a fraction of what it'll cost with those stats and 74+ all resist.

To make up the loss of resists on your gloves, I suggest getting a new pair or bracers. Yours are pretty good though, but I actually just noticed you have almost 60K life, which is massive and honestly a bit unnecessary haha. I honestly think you'd be okay with not getting any vit at all on your bracers and just get int, all resist, and crit chance. Though if you do switch to a Visage again you'll lose another 8K life...

The reason the pick up radius wasn't doing much for you in ubers was because you don't pick up health globes often. The most you ever do is in the SK + Magdha fight and that's when you kill the minions. You do get gloves whenever you get them down a quarter of their health (75%, 50%, and 25%) so pick up radius isn't really needed in ubers fights. Plus the extra 20 mana regen is awesome and lets you spam bear against the ubers for a really long time.

@NightCrawler9 - great point about the gloves. In fact the All Res I'll get from the Zuni Pox will make up for what I lose off the gloves. So, I'll stop looking at ones that have All Res and focus on the other stats. Should be able to get much higher crit chance on the gloves.

Thanks also for the mention on the Blackthornes. I was noticing that some of the ones with two sockets have lower Int...and to make them realize their full potential requires expensive gems to boot.

For life, I was pretty comfortable at 50K or so. As you mention, going back to the Visage will take off about 8K. I suspect as I make some upgrades, I may lose Vit a little here and there, but if my damage makes me kill stuff faster, I may not be hurting too much.

Thanks to the very kind generosity of Baldy, I'm now sporting a high Int Pox. Boosted my DPS a bit when I swapped out my 3.5 CC, 29% CD, low Int ring, so I'm pretty happy with that swap.

I've been searching for other gear but the AH has been so weird lately it's hard to tell what's a good deal now. It seemed like this morning that all the 9-10% CC Zuni mojos started quite a bit higher in buyout price than they did yesterday. I noticed that anything I listed would timeout AND not go back to my stash or completed list. I imagine others are having the same problem so the supply of lower priced stuff has been picked over. I think I'll resume shopping for upgrades once the AH settles.

@NightCrawler9 So, I was looking at Visages, did not realize they topped out at 200 Int. At least I could not find any that are higher than that on the AH this morning. I suppose if they do roll higher than that, there is no way to get CC. Currently I only saw two Visages with 170+ Int, 6%CC, and the Acid Rain bonus...buyout price of 100M and 150M respectively.

For pants: Yesterday I saw a couple reasonable Depth Diggers with single socket and 200+ Int for ~5M. What are the thoughts on Blackthornes vs. Depth Diggers? I have seen a couple places people say "make sure you aren't surprised by the color of the Blackthornes"...do these pants look weird on a WD or Wizard or something? I could only find images of Barbs wearing it.

first pair: +55 int, +26 vit, CD +34%, CC +9%, GF +18%;
second pair: +103 dex, +104 int, CD +16%, CC +3%, +28 fire resist, increase pickup radius 6 yards;
third pair: +41 dex, +59 int, CD +27%, CC+75, +47 cold resist, +208 armor;
fourth pair: +67 dex, +64 int, +24 RA, IAS +6%, CC +5%, melee attackers take 171 dam
fifth pair: +50 dex, +198 int, +144 vit, +72 RA, +43 lightning resist, CD +26%
sixth pair: +66 dex, +55 int, IAS +9%, CC +10%, +48 lightning resist, melee attackers take 1220 dam

In terms of legendaries:
Andariel's Visage w/ +154 int, +63 vit, +57 dex, IAS +9%, CC +4.5%, +48% poison resist, regen 175 life/sec, 23% more fire dmg, 39% chance of poison nova

Lacuni Prowlers w/ +67 int, +49 vit, IAS +9%, +26 poison resist, +12% movement, regen 94 life/sec, melee attackers take 1409 dam

Strongarm bracers w/ +150 int, +22 RA, +9% life, +216 armor, CC +4.5%, +1.7% knockback

I believe I have some Blackthorne's equipment w/ good INT rolls too....

I'm not! I thought about using them on my Wizard but with no Int on the roll they aren't as nice as they could be.

I decided to list them to raise some gold (only have a couple Mil right now) for other upgrades on my WD. However, the AH ate them for the time being. I tried listing them and it said "Action timed out" but did not put them in my complete list or back in my stash. I noticed it incremented my active auction list by 1, but I cannot see any items in the list. Hopefully I can retrieve it once they get the maintenance done, I'll keep you posted.

It's a bit of a joke. Blackthorne's are barely noticeable on a WD. Seems like just a black line across the thighs haha.

Of course those Visage's are going to be expensive. They're really really good ones haha. There's actually one with those stats up for 18 million right now, but it is only 2% Acid Cloud. It'd still probably get it though.

For pants, the only stats wizards (at least archon wizards) and witch doctors care about are int vit and all resists. So whatever kind you can get with those stats high would be best. Although I think the life on hit on Blackthorne's makes them better than others because the more life on hit you have the more life you'll gain back from Acid Cloud.

I tried checking this morning...the AH is still messed up after yesterday's maintenance? I got gold for a belt that sold, but I can't see my Inna's Temperance. My auctions list is blank, but the caption says Active Auctions 1 of 10.

Anyhow, I believe I still have it, I just can't get it quite yet. Hoping once the auction ends (2 hours from now?) I'll be able to send it to my stash.

I was looking through that list and didn't see much that really interested me. The gloves I'm looking at Int 140+, Vit=any, CC 10%, CD 40%.

The Lacunis might be good for my wizard, but then I might want the Inna's pants for her too. :-)

Any gold? Feeling like that's what I'm hurting for most at the moment.

Hmm... the gloves you want are going to be hard to find. A search on the AH w/ those four criteria just now turns up only 7 such gloves, w/ the cheapest buyout being at 15 million... :-0 Especially since CC 10% is the max.

Unfortunately, I'm really hurting for gold at the moment too; only have about 3.8 million to my name. The AH being so slow & laggy probably isn't helping very much either, since nothing I have for sale seems to be moving... :-(

Regarding the SoJs:
SoJ #1: +5% fire damage, +115 max mana, +21% damage vs elites, inc locust swarm damage 12%
SoJ #2: +5% fire damage, +109 max mana, +30% damage vs elites, inc haunt damage 7%

I believe the 2nd one is better since +30% damage vs elites is max roll...

No worries man, I'm sure we can work something out. I checked my auctions today and was able to move the Inna's pants back to my stash. I need to research that second SoJ, see if the 30% damage vs elites would be worth the tradeoff when fighting Ubers. Let's take this to PM and we'll work it out.

Got a chunk of gold from a friend leaving the game and used it to pick this up the other night. Hopefully I did not spend too much on this. Now I just need to decide if I like Acid Cloud or not. ;-) I used it for some time when I was first leveling up my WD, but moved on when it seemed less effective. Seems like it does not hit as hard as Zombie Bears, so I'm trying to figure out how to use it in my build. From what I'm reading, I need Blackthorne's pants for the LoH to make Acid Cloud really shine as a healing AoE?

Depends what you're doing. Acid Cloud won't do as much damage as bears but if you're low level farming there's nothing faster than cloud for clearing rooms specifically with Acid Rain rune. That's why LoH is so nice, as it'll hit soooo many monsters at once you insta-heal. Check out my profile for my acid cloud speedfarmer to get an idea.

If you don't like acid cloud, I sure do. Might be able to work something out :P

Edit: Just picked up new visage in my profile 3%CC & 8% Cloud CC for 800k, bit of a steal!
