[Back Story]Last night I was playing Diablo 3, mindlessly farming, when someone complained in chat that Diablo 3 was so boring, a couple more people agreed, someone started saying other stuff are boring and stuff like that which led us with that turtles are not boring.



We used to have fun random chats all the time in Diablo 2 when sitting in the lobby doing nothing, it was so much fun, just sitting there and talking with people, with a few people I actually started playing together after having so much fun in the chat, we used to do crazy stuff in the game also, it was so fun.

There is lot that they need to do with the interface.. and don't start me on AH searching.

My concern is that it'll never happen as it's not something that'll benefit the console version.

There were some really awesome examples of what *could* be done by some members of the b.net forums, they looked really amazing. I'll try dig them up and post them here.

I have seen someone mock-up a lobby, it was awesome.

Don't forget that with each major patch, they make the game just a little more like Diablo 2. Patch 1.0.8 sounds like it may have more interesting, not necessarily more powerful, Legendaries. Don't give up hope for enhanced chat capabilities!

They need to make game creation like Diablo 2 where people could pick and choose which games they want to join.

I have to say that I am extremely happy with how they integrated chat into Diablo 3. Sure, it isn't as big on the screen as in D2, but they solved the biggest complaint I had: being able to play and be in chat at the same time.

I really enjoy that, so I can farm and watch trade chat, it's not an either/or situation.

I enjoy being able to be in multiple chats at once as well.

I can't argue against having a way of joining a "custom" game, much like matchmaking vs custom in War3 or Starcraft, but the way games match up now is much EASIER (not necessarily better) to get into a game with other people playing around the same level as yourself and the same quest. I spent so much time in D2 trying to find someone to complete quests, with no clear way to search for it. It seems in D3 I can almost always join a game on the quest I want, and if not, people join me fairly quickly.

I'm disappointed not so many people think about how it REALLY was.
