I've been selling some high DPS Spectrums (~600) on the RMAH, and have some battle.net balance.
Anyone have recent experience for the best way to convert this back to gold? |

Radiants or just buy gold. But then again gold has been up and down.
Even after this fix from Blizz on the 50 mill stack, gold farmers are still #1. |

I actually need some radiants. Maybe I don't even need to convert it all.....

I think buying straight gold is most cost effective, quickest way.
Buying gems and resellering will only ever be profittable if the gold price is below the RMAH floor like it was back in Feb/March. Won't expect that to happen again for a while! |

I did some quick calculations:
GAH RMAH Price per Mil Amethyst 21,000,124 $0.51 0.02857126 Emerald 26,654,432 $0.67 0.029572391 Ruby 22,158,724 $0.58 0.030793873 Topaz 21,187,000 $0.54 0.029985091 Gold 50,000,000 $1.42 0.033411765 I'm also going to show my work RMAH/(GAH/1000000))/0.85 I think everything is cheaper than buying gold. Still. |

Only if you actually want the gems themselves. Otherwise buying a RS Amethyst and selling on the Gold AH for Gold still costs far more than buying the Gold outright.
I haven't been on in many months. Has there been some movement towards Marquise Gems? They're still not cheap, by any means, but they're down under $2.50 if you buy the necessary components. For that little, I'd seriously consider upgrading to a pair of Marquise Emeralds on my main. |

It's about a 500k loss on the Amethyst if you sell it on the Gold AH. I guess the only real way is to find an underpriced item on the RMAH and sell it on the gold auction house.

I upgraded a couple of items on my barb in the past week. They were significantly cheaper on the RMAH over similar items on the Gold AH. If flipping them, I could make a lot of gold. Of course, that's if they sell. I have had a hard time selling any higher priced items on either AH the past month or so.
