So I just started Act 2 inferno and I’ve been having a tough time. Act 1 was a breeze, but now I’m wondering if it’s my build that’s making it difficult or my gear (spent over 1 mill on high res, vit, strength, LOH). As of right now I’m using
1. Bash (onslaught) 2. Whirlwind (windshear) 3. Ground Stomp (Foot of the mountain) 4. Revenge (vengeance is mine) 5. Leap (iron impact) 6. War cry (impunity) Passive Skills: 1. Superstition 2. Bloodthirst 3. Nerves of Steel Any tips? What are you guys using? |

This to have some dps.
I swap out the passives for Nerves of Steel, Tough as Nails & Superstition when I truly need to tank. |

Bash - Unleashed Overpower - Crushing advance Ground stomp - Wrenching Smash War Cry - Impunity Wrath of the Berserker - Thrive on Chaos or Insanity Revenge - Provocation or Ignore Pain - Ignorance is Bliss Passive Nerves of Steel Tough as Nails Superstition This build needs LOH items . |

You should look into the Bulldozer barb build. It's a very unique and interesting build I found on reddit and seems to work quite well. I tried it out myself with subpar gear and zoomed my way to half of Act 3. It's very fun and the damage output can almost reach that of a WW barb, but with more survivability.

Before I switched over to WW I used to roll a tank barb with the skills here for the sake of tanking through the content: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WiVQPk!VcT!aZcbZc
With this build I geared up my barb thus: All Resists > Armor > Vitality > Strength > Life Regen. I had about 1200 strength, 1000vit and 55k hp; 700 all resists, 8000 armor, 1600 life regen when buffed (only 10k DPS and 400 LoH though). Alternating the use of Ignore Pain and Overpower while spamming Revenge, very few packs posed problems due to Juggernaut and regen. Was sort of fun to see my barb surrounded by mobs and just refuse to die, and taking them down (painstakingly) one by one until my life regen out-DPSes the damage taken and end the skirmish in full health. |
