I have just begun the search for the ingredients to craft the staff necessary in opening the whimsyshire portal.
I am just trying to decide whether it is worth it to spend time and 1.7 mil gold on trying to get there... Your thoughts are appreciated. |

I used to love farming Whimsy pre-1.0.3. The patch made it so that the "clouds" or treasure chests are not affected by MF, and the thing with Whimsy is that there are Clouds everywhere. So in my opinion, I don't think that Whimsy is worth it anymore. It's still fun to get to Whimsy and kind of goof off now since the stage is cool to look at. There are still about 5-6 elite packs in there though.

Itemwise? Probably not. For the effect completely! Just run through it once on Normal (shouldn't be 1.7 mil for that). It's well worth it. Liquid Rainbow took me 2 hours, but my friend found it on his second try. It's completely luck of the draw, but it's pretty funny.

I got my first Legendary in Whimsyshire. That is the coolest low-level legendary though. |

I got 3 or 4 Legendaries there, all worthless, except the 300th Spear (with 21% MF)
I like farming it after collecting 5xNV in Act I. The loot there (and monsters' level) is comparable to Act III/IV |

I also got a Spectrum from Whimsy. I've actually found a ton of legendaries in Whimsy but none of them were good.

Agreed. It'd be so awesome if they buffed it in patch 1.0.4 to make it so a Unicorn is summoned upon attacking an enemy. *wishful thinking* |

I was wondering if someone could add me and help me get access to the Inferno plan of Whimsyshire. I really want to experiment a bit more and see if I can actually make it a legitimate farming spot after gathering 5NV from easy elites in A1.
