New dev journal is up!
I don't see much impact on the AH market from these changes. Maybe there will be some drop in the value of All Resist and +Armor, but I doubt it will be a noticeable dip like we saw with the early Attack Speed nerf. Gems and Mats won't be affected, either. Anyone else think there will be a noticeable market impact? For Demon Hunters, this looks like it's going to a game changing patch, albeit not as dramatic as 1.04 was for Witch Doctors. Any DH that tried desperately to use Sentries to any effect knows they should've have the ability to set 2-3 Sentries on release, but better late than never, I guess; the cooldown on Sentry seems like a perfunctory idea, "oh it should have cooldown now" which wasn't though out so penalty points there. Making the pets truly pets instead of D2 Druid Spirits truly does have the potential to create a new niche DH class so major points there. Their message on Shadow Power is confusing. They want to encourage a diversity of builds so they nerf-buff damage taken discouraging the use of Shadow Power-Gloom. then they buff Shadow Power to try to get more people to use it. Since they nerfed procs for LOH, no one uses Shadow Power for the life drain so the buff is worthless, anyway. If I had an entire skill slot available to devote solely to Reflect Damage elites, then I would use it, but it's never going to make the cut for Top 6 overall skills. How about you spend your testing resources by replacing Chakram entirely with something that's conceivably marginally useful? Personally, Patch 1.05 will only make the game easier for my hybrid DH. I already survive fairly well in Act 3 and I don't use Gloom at all so I'm simply going to be taking 25% less damage now. I guess that will partly make up for the elimination of Trail of Cinders. |

The key point of data left out which I would think make the biggest impact for defensive gear costs on the AH is what 105 Monster Power value is roughly equal to 104 difficulty.
Less than 50% of its maximum value (4 out of 8 or whatever it will be), players will buy. More than 50%, players will sell. |

From a high level wiz standpoint, Storm Armor buff equates to a greater demand for anything that adds to lightning damage (storm crow, tal rasha set, and a certain wand that laughs at your death).
