So, if you're like me, you've reached that point where the gear you want, you can't afford. And you're not even close. So it's time to make up stupid games to kill the boredom!

This game is pretty simple: build an UBER follower. The only rule I implemented was a 1M gold cap on each item. That makes it so anyone can play, but there's some room to buy adequate items. Anyway...



Here's what I spent:
Focus: 700k
The Grandfather: 500k
Amulet: 200k
Skull Grasp: 550k
Ring: 500k

In the sub 1M item range, you could probably find way better deals. I just didn't have the patience to search very hard.
Here are some general things I followed:
1) Didn't stack CC or CD. Her base CC is so low (zero) and there aren't enough slots to stack any meaningful CC.
2) Stacked as much INT/VIT as possible (duh)
3) Stacked a little bit of AS on the rings. AS gives okay damage and you can't really go ballistic on INT with rings.
4) 40% life bonus.

After looking at most of our and Diabloprogress' Enchantress followers, this song jumps to mind.

My crowd control Scoundrel. Very low DPS but his freezing ability via the bow and amulet is outstanding. Easily the MP10 winner for me.

Crap. Didn't see the cost pre-requisite. The amulet was under 1mil. The bow was about 3 mil. The other stuff was found.

@Khan I considered doing that, a bit expensive for my taste though

I guess the rings have Attack Speed on both?

how do you deal with survivability in MP10? doesn't your scoundrel get one-shot by pretty much anything?

@Metta I hope you don't mind if people with outstanding builds/ideas for followers break the 1Mio rule :)

@Venoom Yeah, the rings have 8 and 9% attack speed. He stays alive pretty well considering I'm almost perma-freezing everything in front of him (the CM Frost Nova combined with his Freeze percentage helps a lot).

No, it's not a hard and fast rule. I just wanted everyone to be able to feel competitive without having to gear their follower with 10M focus, 20M weapon with radiant star in the socket, and trifecta jewelry.

Just did the naked thing on Hell difficulty vs. Azmodan and my enchantress BEASTED him. She just stood in the blood pools, tanking everything. It's really too bad she can't fight Diablo because I think she could do it.

Oh, and his freezing ability is the only reason I can kill treasure goblins on MP10 now.

I was looking for a good bow with a lot of dex and vit for my scoundrel and because people were overpricing the rare ones, I snagged him a manticore for cheap.

Whoever was selling it had slapped a fairly big emerald in it, I removed it and lo and behold, the scoundrel's dps did not change. Free emerald and he now has 69k hp and 10.7k dps.

Edit: Bought him a ring... 78k hp and 12.7k dps.
