So who all is planning on catching The Hobbit on opening night this week? :-)
& who all is excited about the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness that's coming out next year? And lastly, combining those two topics for the true geeks out there: Who remembers The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins sung by Leonard Nimoy many decades ago? :-) |

Hahaha, yah.. I remember there were also jokes in the early 2000s about "Which elvish lord would be most likely to take over the Matrix?" because Hugo Weaving was going back & forth starring in the two different trilogies (LOTR & Matrix) at that time... Also, did you see the Ian McKellan interview on The Colbert Report where he talks about who would win in a fight between Gandalf and Magneto...? :) So many geeky things with great potential for crossovers... ;-) |

The only movies I really go see at a theatre anymore are kids movies. Can't remember when I actually went to see something that I wanted to see at a theatre. For the most part I'd rather watch the blue-ray on my 40" screen in my bedroom.

I'd rather not, because I'm sure the Star Trek crew, whoever they are, would figure out how The One Ring works and neutralize it in engineering. Given that phasers are much hotter than a volcano, they could also just vaporize it. It would lead to a rather anticlimactic end to the Ring of Power. |
