So... I posted a question on the EU techincal support forum:
I got 1 reply, to which I responded, and now the thread is locked. Now, I don't really much care, since the official forums are pretty much useless imho. But for the life of me I don't understand why my thread was locked.
So does anyone know which of the bazillion forum rules I broke?

Its really annoying that months into the game these unobtainable achievements still exist.

If you can't or don't want to change the spawning of certain monsters then at least remove them from the requirements so that we can finally finish our achievements."

The bug list in the Known Issues thread isn't exhaustive and isn't intended to be. You can find plenty of threads about the broken achievements in the proper forum...

Sure the bug list might not be exhaustive.
But that's not the point. I know that there are a ton of threads about it.
I know it's a well known problem all over the community.

This isn't some odd game bug that only sometimes happen, or only some people will experience, like some of the bugs listed. This is bugged for each and every player.

My point is that blizz doesn't even seem to acknowledge the problem.
And I also just suggested an easy fix. This game is 9 months old now, so I don't feel it unreasonable to expect at least some sort of fix for this by now.

(Also. I can't post over on the US forums. And there is no Bug Report forum here, hence I placed it under technical)

I suppose you could try posting it to the NA forums. It's not likely they'd develop a patch where it's fixed in only 1 region.

I agree with euggie's point, that could be possible. Here's my 2 cents: It's not so bad that you come off as a jerk or anything like that, but you could definitely phrase a lot of it to be less on the attack if you want a better chance of a response.

For example, the first sentence could simply state the fact "These elite and rare achievements are not listed on the known bug list." Your next question could have been "has this problem been officially acknowledged yet?"


As far as this not being on the known bug list - it's likely that Blizz defines "known bug" differently than the community does. The community considers a bug to be known if enough people experience it. Maybe Blizz needs to see harder evidence like someone looking into the code. Unlikely as it is, something like this could be caused by RNG (speaking in the general sense).

Just because it's not on the known issues list doesn't mean they aren't working on it (proven in either 105 or 106, when they fixed bugs of certain mobs not showing up).

hehe... yeah, guess my tone displayed my mood fairly accuratly. It annoys me immensely. There is nothing that makes a game feel more uncomplete to me as unobtainable achievements due to bugs.
