This past weekend I started wearing Cain's Set on my DH to go along with my Ruby, Hellfire, and Signet while leveling my Demon Hunter. I've had to stick with Act 3 MP0 for dps purposes. With Cain's +30% Experience bonus that's the equivalent of running MP3. With my full gear, I still can't run MP3 as fast as I can run MP0 with Cain's Set and it's certianly safer running MP0.
Has anyone else experimented with running Cain's Set in Inferno? Is anyone else using it right now? |

I would think the difference in the speed that you could run it would have a huge effect. I have a full cains set on my barb that one day I may finish leveling. For power leveling its awesome, but for me its all speed in inferno. I pick the highest difficulty in which I can still 1 hit monsters and elites, if you're sitting there blowin a minute on a pack, it doesn't seem worth it to me.

From experience, I suggest finding a full 5-piece set with a focus on 2-socket pants, pick up radius gear and a socket in helm (obviously). Sockets add a ton of base stat to low level gear and Pick-up radius is just as relevant at level 25 as it is at 60. I suggest picking up all 5 pieces, because you can then pick the 1 normal piece of gear to sub in that gives you the best overall performance. This choice could change over time as you improve your normal gear. If you want to spend even more Gold, MF is a good stat and can go up to around 10-12% per piece iirc.
I'll have to try this. My DH has a wide damage range with high aps so I'll have to think of things in terms of 2-hit kills, but the point stands. |

I sometimes run mp0 in 3 piece cain's (head, pants, boots) and I feel it's a bit faster for xp leveling than my gear I use for MP1. I can go upto mp1 in cain's gear, but it's too slow and my archon wears off more than I like. I don't have any numbers to back this up, but if you want I can do a few runs and record the time it took and xp gained.
