What items are selling, and for how much?

I've seemingly underpriced alot of my items, and lost out in alot of gold as a result.

What are some tips in correct pricing?

I'm facing the exact opposite issue... I'm pricing my items according to what I see on the AH and they're not selling.

Aside from the obvious high tier items, what has been selling for me are the following:

MF gear (blues seem to be doing better than rares)
GF gear WITH pickup radius
1h weapons (except hand x-bows) with sockets
Amulets and rings with at least 1 main stat at 50 or more (excl. vit) and at least crit chance, crit damage, or attack speed

I tend to check the AH for an Item thats close to mine and then list is equal or just under the value.

Its situational though, some days youll have no luck. Others you may sell it. If you think its a seller just keep posting it and you might find you have more luck.

In the last two weeks the A/H has been really dead. I'm not sure if it is just uncertainty about the Legendary buff that is coming up in 1.04 or if people are just leaving the game or if bots have been getting banned and hence taking out a lot of the gold in the system. I have found that low end items still sell alright and high end items are still doing decent. But everything in the 1M - 20M range is hurting really bad. Its really hard to sell them.

It's been on and off for me recently. Some of the good stuff have been selling for quite high, and some mediocre items have also been moving along quite nicely. Maybe it's because I'm underpricing the stuff, but it's probably better to sell the crap out before their values decrease any further.

GAH is getting worse by the days. I can't find anything useful, and most of my stuff aren't selling. Before the maintenance it wasn't that bad. I'm too lazy to post the 50k items up for sale, usually I just vendor it. 100k stuff above takes sometime to sell unless I lowball or I find some really high GF items for the bots to grab >25 GF like amu

level 20-45 items sell well for me, between 40 and 100k, with the occasional 200k and even more sometimes (but rarely)
level 60+ items sell very bad for me, there are too many average items already on the AH.

I think the best tip for the AH good pricing your item is to :
1. First search for items that are in your range with the stats, note down the price.
2. Then look how many items like yours or in the area , are listed in the AH.
3. Check the max price, and the low price.

Then :
If there are few items and the max and the low value are near one from another you can sell your item with max price that you found on the AH. You MUST put your item , for that big big difference , on sale in the weekend, more specific on Saturday. In the morning.

Well this what i do, and i handle the AH sells pretty good. Good luck! :D

I am the only one that thinks it's better to farm Act III/IV in Normal/Nightmare rather than Act I Inferno?

I can't survive Act II Inferno with my current gear, and Act I is tedious for me (specially with Elites that have unvulnerable minions...), with absolutely horrible drops despire my 200% MF (unbuff)

Act III/IV in Hell give me level 52-60 items that nobody cares about.

but Act III/IV Normal/Nightmare give me level 17-45 items that can sell for 50k to 200k, which is not bad for a casual player like myself.
There seems to be a market for this stuff.
Clearing Act III gives me 1 to 2 pages of 50k+ items per run.

Some people said you can get nice legendaries/sets/plans in Hell, I might try it again with higher MF.

I would suggest that you farm Act 1 Inferno first and try to sell as much to get better geared items to go into Act 2 Inferno . I have been farming Act 2 Inferno as long as I can remember and it's much better than farming Act 3 inferno . The drops might be a bit crappy but if you're hardworking , the nice items will drop for you eventually .

Eg.

I just picked up a ring which is really expensive . Trifeca stats (AS , CC , CD ) with high bonus damage and decent str and vit in it and managed to sold it for 500 million gold just yesterday . The ring drop was from Act 2 and I was farming spiders .. Can you believe that ? .

Amazing, good for you, that's a really nice amount of gold to have :) (or $ if you convert it).

thank you for your feedback.

The problem is that my gear is not good enough (yet) to easily farm Act I. I still can't defeat all the Elites/Champions with ease.
and I only have 2 to 4 Mio gold to spare on new gear. Not sure how much I can upgrade without losing my 200% MF (unbuff)

So far, farming Act I Inferno, I only found very few good weapons, none for my class (DH), that don't even sell for 100k or 50k gold.

when I farmed Act III in Nightmare, it felt like a slow but steady progress, 2 Mio for few hours of work including gold farm and AH sales.

when I farm Act I Inferno, it feels like no progress at all, I vendor 49 items out of 50, and the 50th item rarely sells for much.
it feels to me that you have to be really patient, and make 10 runs or more (with almost no progress other than gold farming) before finding an amazing item like you did.

Other than this ring, how many 1Mio gold (or more) items do you find on average farming Act I or II Inferno?

Plenty . Like i said , if you're hardworking you will be rewarded . I farmed at least 2 hours on weekdays and 6 hours on a weekends . 1 run take 20 mins at VOTA and that's 12 elites . That's 72 elites on a weekday and 216 elites on a weekend .
Out of 72 elites, you probably get 2 - 3 items that could be sold for 200k - millions depending on your luck . I have 300MF gear with it so the drops are much better .

If you have a problem farming act 1 inferno , I suggest you play public game and do a party run instead . Ease the burden ..
DH has problem farming in Act 2 inferno unless you're pretty buffed but it's not impossible. It's just taking too long to clear .

If you're really desperate for gold , pick everything up and vendor it .

thanks for your feedback and suggestions.
I might open a thread to discuss my current gear/build, I am sure there is room for improvement even with just 2 or 3 Mio.

just out of curiosity, did you auction your ring or was it a 500Mio buyout?

I auctioned the ring in AH and put my start up bid at 500 million with a buyout of 800 million . I know my ring was worth around that much so i started like that .

it seems harder and harde to sell anything, there is too much stuff out there and its hard to evaluate the value of an item with the 3 stat search engine, hopefully it will get better with the next patch

If you have any items with these combos , the price is in millions .

AS / CC / CD
CC / CD / LOH
MF / CC / CD
MF / CC / AR

High stats ( at least 150 and above mix with any two stats below :
AR
CC
CD
MF

Surprisingly items with the following mix don't sell well .

MF / CD bla bla
GF / CD
AR / CD

The reason is because CC is more valuable than CD . Stack up CC guys .

Most people see items on the AH worth 2-3mil and then figure if they have the same stats their item is worth the same....however the stats may be high but if (example item) has 200dex 200 int and cold resist....yea it has a ton of dex and a ton of int but no defensive stats what-so-ever and will not sell, however an item with maybe 100 dex/int and 100vit with all 50+ all resist they will sell, and probably for much more of a reasonable price.....P.S. i dont use grammar in forumz >.>

Do you think it is worth waiting to post 1.04 to buy new weapons for ww barb because of the buff they are going to give to i61 and i62 weapons. or buy them now and farm, budget is ~10 mil
