Blue tracker picked up a hotfix upcoming on APOC for wizards. By correcting Blizzard to proc APOC on hit (at 1%) they caused many other skills to proc twice. They'll be fixing this. If you've built a Meteor or Disintegrate Wizard since the 1.0.7 Patch drop, you're going to be disappointed.
During the development of patch 1.0.7, a Wizard bug relating to Arcane Power on Crit was introduced when we fixed a bug that was causing Blizzard to not proc it at all. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8197740198#1 |

For the last few weeks, the Wizard forum was host to several threads with people discussing gear changes and new builds in light of the perceptible APOC return difference. Alas, it all crashes down, and people clutch to their APOC Chant's orbs yet again.
A recently added friend in my list is using Disintegrate as his primary offensive spell, and I was wondering how it was happening that it seemed like his beam duration was remarkably longer than I had ever remembered it lasting on a full tank. Now I know. |

I just recently started playing my Wizard, so I really do not know what the landscape looked like pre-1.0.7. What were the most common builds and their APoC requirements?
