Even at your bankroll, level 60 Barb budget gear is eminently affordable. If you get the worst IK set gear that's out there, those shoulders and blue gear on every other slot, you'll probably have a Barb that can curbstomp MP1. Definitely keep those shoulders around. I recommend going with a cheap 2H weapon to start out (Skorn or IK 2H Mighty Weapon with CD) because they'll provide more dps than a cheap EF will at the beginning.

@ecocd this is taken at Hardcore., hence I think the worst IK gear by any single piece is still more expensive than a brimstone price at Hardcore, which is now maybe 150k? used to be over 300k.
