About the Stream
http://www.twitch.tv/thelayman/ Taking four brand new accounts and building them up to give them away! Pauper Commoner Knight King I will be involving viewers in the decisions on what to do, what characters to make, how to gear them and more as we work towards building four accounts that will all be given away on stream! I don't claim to be the best geared, have the latest strategies, that I do the best giveaways, or anything of the sort. What I do promise is decent music, lots of viewer interaction, fun events and competitions, and just generally giving back to the Diablo 3 community. Today I will finish leveling three of four Witch Doctors, and take another shot at the MP10 Skeleton King time trial! |

Question: Does streaming take anything away from your connection or computer speed and if not.....how do you stream? Never played with vid capture etc so no clue is why I ask. ~Grumpy |

Answer: Yes and yes. I stream using free software called OBS. Anyone halfway computer saavy could easily stream their gameplay on twitch. Twitch makes it easy to highlight gameplay and upload to YouTube as well. If that doesn't answer all your questions, feel free to ask some follow ups! :) |

Hey nuhertz, since you've been streaming Id figured Id ask you. So Ive been wanting to stream for a long time now but I know with my connection as terrible as it is, I prob be able to til my area gets upgrades. I recently made a video on Twitch of me trying to play. I made a small one for youtube, 2mins and it came out great, as for the Twitch 6min one, I didnt drop any frames but its just low quality when running etc.

It's watchable. I'd say more people listen to my stream than watch. I'm always surprised when someone says "Why didn't you pick up this?" or "Why aren't you using this skill?"
If I were you, I'd just forget about low bandwidth, stream at whatever setting your connection can handle, and just have fun. I know there are some sites out there that have good guides to optimize your settings. I'd take a shot at those. I know audio quality can help a bit with "choppyness". Try this guide.
