@therookie0709 1 question, how many hits can you take from say writhing deceiver on your current build? (40+k dps with ss / 3.9k armour / 60k hp) and whats your AR

Umm I don't have a lot of resist tbh since gears with good AR could be pretty expensive. Even so, since my effective hp pool is still high, I can take around 3-5 hits from writhing deceivers, and in those seconds I can just pop smoke screen or preparation with battle scars. Hope this answers your question =D

PS. Keep in mind that if your AR is at an okay level, you don't have to worry too much about your vit since ar also increases your effective hp pool

used 2hand to give you more DPS than 1 hand with fast attack speed and stats

I happened to get a nice Life Regen helm and I'm up to 212 regen (better than zero, amirght?). I also found a truly fantastic cold damage 1H Xbow with good CD, socket and 577 LOH*. Dual-Wielding has the LOH gets split across both weapons so that ends up being 288 LOH for each 1H Xbow. Since the proc coefficient on AOE skills (multishot) is low, LOH hasn't helped much against groups, but it has indeed helped a lot with Reflect Damage Elites.

I still have to be careful, but I've only killed myself once in the past few days which is a welcome change. If nothing else, it gives me an extra split second to realize they're Reflect Damage Elites when I first encounter them. It's a little sad using a clvl 6 rune, but Hungering Arrow - Puncture (+15% pierce) with 2.15 aps racks up a lot of hits for that LOH. In practice it works much better than I had thought it would. Thanks everyone!

* I haven't seen a better one in days for any price on the AH and I picked this one up for 500k. Crazy.

@Detski are you playing on Act 3? It seems like they jack up the Reflect Damage % on Act 3. It could also just be that there are more HP on Act 3. It sounds like you don't get damage reflected if you have Smokescreen up so I think I'll have to start playing around Smokescreen + Spike Trap + Impale running all at the same time.

We were playing act 2, but I think your observation is correct that Refelct's Damage gets worse depending on monster level. Or maybe it just seems that way since monsters are generally harder in act 3. Hmmm... Looks like it's time to do some science!

(Sorry for the late response. I don't get to be on here as often as I'd like to.)

I updated my gear and sacrificed some MF.
stuff is getting really cheap on the AH, I couldn't believe it.
I increased my DPS massively for few mills.

I can faceroll Act I, I do more than ok in Act II, and struggle a bit in Act III (I couldn't kill the Spider Queen solo for example)

not sure what I can do now to get more DPS, except the weapon that needs an upgrade.

and for whoever is wondering, yes, Glass Cannon is the way to go for DH imho.
if you can one/two-shot ennemies, you don't die that often, and you have Gloom and other defensive skills that help you tank a bit when needed.
I would never trade that for a DH that can survive longer if it would takes AGES to kill even a single mob.

@Venoom Have you tried a different main attack? Evasive Fire will do a ton more damage per hit than Entangling Shot and has automatic enemy avoidance built in. It takes some practice to recognize when you're stuck against a wall and draining your Discipline, but after you adjust, it's the best kiting main attack in your arsenal (until you adjust, I guarantee you'll die a few times, but stick with it).

You also have a lot of upgrade room on your gems. +32 Dex moving to "just" Star Emeralds on your current armor. Not an enormous bump, but it's pretty straightforward. Your helm has room for more Dex, too. If you're willing to drop to 4.5% crit chance, there's a good chance you can bump your Dex up at least 40 points without breaking the bank. Your in-game dps display may go down with that CC-for-Dex change, but I bet your actual kill rate will slightly increase.

thanks for the advice :)

unfortunately, star emeralds cost 800k, it's too steep for me, not worth it for only +30 Dex :(

thanks to you, I noticed there is a Legendary Helm that has Dext, Crit Chance AND Attack Speed.
I am stalking it from now on, it will improve my DPS a bit.
the "main" attack is just there to generate Hatred, I usually spam Multishot and sometimes secondary attack.
I'll give Entangling Shot a try :)
