a best approach is to compare your current item stats with the other similar item in both Gold & Real money AH to see the price range.

the best items that sell fast & good profit would be a helm. with socket, 5% or higher, 7 pick up radius. then put a 21 GF in the socket and sell it for an easy 250k or higher. search for the good deals! (;

It depends on the build. Different builds look for different stats. Generally you want the main stat (int, str, etc...Crit chance, Resist all, life % or vit, sockets never hurt either)

Nowadays any item with CC or CD are expensive . If you add a combo like AR or high stats . It's around millions .

Just do a market research in the AH before you actually quote your items .

Just sold for me. I probably under priced it, but listed it a few times with no sales.

You will only usually find items selling on the RMAH that are either high percentages of maximum value, like weapons with over 300 of a stat and very high damage, or items that are priced insanely on the Gold AH. Refer to this chart for maximum stats for different aspects Max Stats

well, i sold a staff with 1.3k dps and 200 int, so probably really high dps for weapons, probably above 1.2k for 2h, and 1k for 1h

I'm mostly curious how much is a reasonable price to post an item for. I mean c'mon how much would someone actually pay for a single item? Is like $10 fair for something decent? I see prices at like $80 $120 do people actually buy those? Or are the auction listers wasting their time?

I've sold chest armor for $15, a plan for $150 (Demon's Skin), and weapons in the $15 to $20 range. I also sell things at the $3 to $5 range (my most utilized range).

I kinda gave up on rmah recently. Nothing is selling. I've been trying to sell a Windforce for $90. It may be over priced - but ya. I have much better luck on the gold auction house.

It seems like a lot of players quit playing D3 already. Maybe there just aren't enough people who care to buy anything these days?

@GGFate ; It's partially that, but it's also item inflation. Since every good item that's dropped hasn't left the market, over time only the really great items are going to be worth anything at all.

There seems to be massive inflation for really good items. Any that are listed at a decent price are usually snapped up immediately and re-flipped at a higher price. Probably some conspiracy by certain parties wanting to keep prices high so they can sell gold to us lol...
Having said that... moderate items are coming down in price alot.

I believe now that the market has changed, and it is more about quantity over quality. Sell everything cheap, and keep 10 auctions up at a time!

I guess it depends on how patient you are with auctions, but because of the lack of a true endgame (PvP), the only motivation to play is "show off" by obtaining the "1337" gear. What that means is 99% of your items will be worth pretty much nothing, .9% will be worth a little, and a very tiny .1% (or less) will be worth A LOT. There are two ways to approach this:

First way: Grind low amounts of money to eventually build up a large bankroll. Sell everything low so it goes quickly. Keep your AH full all the time. Don't throw away anything; if it can sell for more than vendor price, it must go into the AH.

Second way: Throw everything away except top loot. Keep reposting your best loot on the off chance someone will overpay by millions. You will have like no money for long periods of time; suddenly, you will have 50 M in one day.

I personally lean toward the second method because it's just too time consuming to keep searching AH to compare prices, baby-sit auctions, keep filling my AH, and storing all those items somewhere. I've been able to hit a big item every 2-3 runs now for about 10 runs, so I guess I feel pretty good about it right now. I suppose if I hit a dry spell, I might want to grind some gold again.

Personally, I sell most of my gear very cheaply on the AH and the elite stuff on the RMAH. I use a signet and radiant star ruby to farm A3 and then take a break by putting on my goldskin and farm a1 and a2. Then back to A3 for for more xp and legendary farming. Sure, I can farm A3 all day but I like to break the monotony by killing things easy and picking up 2k to 3k stacks of gold.
