Just looking for a few general tips. I'm starting out with a Barb as I've got a good amount of experience as one from softcore. A few of the things I'm planning on doing are:
- Take my time. Clearing out all zones / not leaping blindly - Always have at least one escape skill up (Leap, Sprint, Wrath, etc) - Zero-tolerance with lag Any other tips? Thanks! |
Starting my hardcore progress!

In general I'd say be aware that the AH is vastly different than SC. Rings/amulets/shoulders that seem totally worthless can sell for a lot, especially at low levels. It felt pretty strange when I sold a white shoulder for something like 750-1000.

1) The most important rule is "Stay alive". If you join public games ofc you can help people that messed up and pulled all monsters in an area to one spot, fighting for their lifes. But think about this, do you think those people are there when you're in trouble??? I think you catch my drift here. If you're not playing with real friends you're on yur own, remember that;
2) Don't just jump into public banners, you never know what's happening on the other side. Ask if it's save or just wait a few seconds, watch other player's health bars and then jump into the DH, WIZ or WD banner (better chance they are not fighting in the middle of a pack; 3) Just buy whatever is more save on AH for a good price (especially good vitality gear) because if you reach lvl 60 (including paragon lvls) there is plenty of time to earn the big cash much and much more faster. I mean just spend gold on AH in your attempt to reach lvl 60, it makes no sense to save gold on yur way going there; 4) When you're new to hardcore you will die at some point. NEVER give up! After starting HC, bobcore isn't an option anymore; 5) I could think of more tips for sure but you know what. I'm gonna roll a few new characters for myself. You can hook up any time and learn on the go. |
