a suggestion for the forum

For those of us who are logged in, would it be possible to be taken to the first unread post of a topic when we click on it in the "Recent posts" section?

Just an idea to improve the user experience on the forum.

And perhaps a page where we see all the topics we posted to so we know if there are any new posts in them?

thanks

We try hard to be active with the community and we really do listen to feedback :) I mean it when I say suggest anything you want to see, content wise or anything.

ok, I will :)

I really love the feature that shows a preview of items and stuff when it's a link from battle.net (like the Legendaries on your contest page)

Content wise, any additional guide would be welcome (tips, farming, skills, AH, builds, etc.), you guys obviously are very successful at Diablo 3 (seeing how you can craft all items, for example. Me, I don't even have one plan :P )

A lot of the guides were delayed until 1.0.4 as it changes quite a few things. For example I wanted to write guides on various topics such as "What are the best Legendaries?", "Should I salvage this item or sell it on the auction house?", "Popular Class Builds" , "Maximum Stats for Legendary Items" etc.

I was hoping 1.0.4 would have came sooner but oh well it's coming finally!

I just noticed some added colors in Recent Posts for unread new posts, very neat!

Glad you like it! Minor change but hope it helps :)

it helps a lot, I really like it :)

another suggestion: how about adding another "Class" called "Followers"?
currently, any question/topic about followers would get lost in the active "General Discussions" section, or would have to be posted in one of the 5 Classes.

I have a suggestion.

Have you or your team thought about putting "admin discussion balloons" (best name I could come up with) on the main forum page much like what D3 moderators have on the b-net website.

Or, maybe you have the option to publicize an important discussion rather than on the home page.

Just a thought.

Cheers (_)p

@artishir

Bingo ;) I just thought that maybe it would be a cool idea...not necessarily copying the idea just using the premise but making it relavent to this website's design.

@Baldy but then we would have Threads like this at the top ? ;-)

@gnawol LOL...so what? People that run websites are still human beings. Sometimes we forget that there people on the other side of these monitors. That would make my day if I saw DRUNK THREAD pop out of the main screen when I come here ;-)

@Baldy it was meant as a joke ;-) I'm glad the admins post here and don't consider themselves better than others. Hey, afterall, Blizzard CM's post about their cats too

It's good to have down to earth admins that listen to feedback and implement it where possible, after chatting briefly with @Anuiran on twitch, they have some amazing features up and coming, looking forward to see what the future holds for this site.

Agreed, that's a very accurate way to put it.

another suggestion would be to perhaps add a feedback page to each profile, for the transactions that happen on this forum?
so members could get a reputation and it makes it easier to trust them for trades.

Another suggestion, if not too difficult to implement, would be to have two different colors for topics with new/unread posts: one for the topics where we posted something and one for the topics where we didn't post anything yet.

Currently any topic by an admin is a different color - I think things would get too confusing with more colors. We already have an idea for a place to get new/unread posts quickly.

ah I see.
My post was very unclear, I meant it for the "Recent Posts" section, and the small colored bar on the left of each topic.

I'll wait for your idea :)

couple more suggestions:
- make the images and the title clicable for the AH Price Tracker (so it would take us to the item page to see the detailed price history)
- automatically format URLs? many people forget (or don't know how) to use the "Link" feature, and if you Edit the post, it's not possible anymore (unless you know the BBCode syntax)

another suggestion :)

would it be possible to add a new "Recent Posts" section that would exclusively contain all the "Price Check" threads, and keep the "Recent Posts" section clean?
This could be very useful if the PC threads multiply.

a new suggestion: would it be possible to add a feature that allows us to edit comments on news/articles?

You must log in or register to reply.
