The life on hit makes it a great item. Items without life on hit with the same stats go for 3.5mil. If i was you, i'd for 3.5 opening and 6mil buyout (that's if you need the slot in the auction house, because it will probably sell for 3.5mil regardless on a bid but not necessarily 6mil buyout, the market is a bit strange since all the new announcements, people are less likely to buy expensive items)
