New MF change rumors - Patch Tuesday?

Diablo IncGames notes that horadric.ru has been digging into the patch files that have already been loaded onto the servers and there are some interesting changes to MF that I'm generally in favor of. Since the patch files are already up on the server, it seems likely the patch will be dropped on Tuesday.

Rumored highlights include: Bind on Equip Legendaries dropping every 500th Elite kill (make sure you kill it in Act 3!), MF now slowly increases to max MF on your character so goodbye MF swapping (I'll be selling that 40% MF magical amulet asap if it's still worth anything).

Follow the link for more details. The official MF blog will be up this week and we'll know for sure. Speculate away!

Tuesday is very possible as the week after is a large WoW patch and I cannot see them doing both on the same day. So far it's all rumors from datamining but I really hope they are true - especially the idea of "Paragon Levels" making EXP after level 60 worth something. I have a feeling Blizzard will be sharing more information tomorrow especially with all these leaks.

A poster on Reddit made this image on what he thinks the system will be like:

I wonder if everyone will be starting at Tier 1 or if they'll be retroactively applying it to all players' accounts. I could see reasons for each. If you make Elites give the same experience as normal white mobs, then you always give players an incentive to do full act clears instead of just Elite runs which is another aspect of gameplay Blizzard has been trying to push. Scale it up so that Act 4 gives notably more experience than Act 3 and then you have give the people capable of running Act 4 inferno a chance to do "Paragon farming." I also really like the idea of this being per account instead of per character so you can play more than one level 60 character without feeling like you're losing out on MF.

I do hope they keep NV, if only as a much smaller boost to MF and GF now while retaining the increased chance of rare drops at 5 NV.

I read some datamined info in one of the reddit threads that level 1 is 7,000,000+ xp to get which is 3x that of 59-60.
Level 100 is 150x
Sooo much grinding, so much awesome.

if exp + counts towards paragons, rubies will probably spike at least enough to break even crafting

This was one of the things that made D2 so awesome. Countless cow farm runs...hours and hours of leveling. There was a certain amount of awe people expressed when a lvl 90+ joined the game, especially 95+.

I am still curious whether there will be clvl's higher than 60, or if they at least have any plans to institute something along those lines.

@Baldy I think a higher character level cap will be necessary when they release an expansion however many months/years that is from now. I doubt we'll see anything until that point. I expect Paragon levels, if they will indeed exist, are going to keep people busy for a very, very, very long while.

People only need 1 Ruby per character for their helm just like Amethysts now so I expect them to stabilize at about the price of Amethysts. They probably will spike initially. I wouldn't invest my full fortune in Flawless Square Rubies, but it seems like a relatively low downside risk gamble right now. There will be a legitimate market for Radiant Star Rubies, because even 1% extra experience will be worth 20 million Gold. They might end up being the most expensive Radiant Star gem.
