[US] Stash clearing auction?

Hey all,

After hosting auctions on the main D3 trading forums, I had some mixed successes. I was thinking about hosting one here to clear out my post 1.0.4 hoard, but I didn't know if that's acceptable by the website's terms. Plus, I get the feeling you all would be far more easier to contact / less likely to reneg on your offers.

I'd be open to auction-style bidding or straight-up buyout offers, whichever is viewed better by the community.

Thanks!

Here's my two previous auctions:

I would support this. My AH is always full and I don't want to throw away items simply because I have no room. I think people here are also reliable and I wouldn't have to worry about getting scammed.

That being said, I think the only way to draw interest is that you have to price your items reasonably lower than the best AH item. No person is going to buy your item if they see a better deal on the AH. I think the only time these things are successful are when A) people are trying to unload a full stash and are willing to let go of items for much less than their worth or B) you have some incredibly unique item that has no equal on the AH. In that situation, you can (and should!) be greedy because someone, somewhere, is going to pay you a buttload of money for that item.

I have also had mixed success on the BNET forums. Most people are going to lowball you. My price point is at around 5+ million, I just AH it because it's worth enough that I refuse to accept some ridiculous, 250k offer, or I am willing to take the 15% cut so I don't get scammed. Anything less than that though I would definitely be willing to drop my price (maybe 50% of the best or similar AH item) depending on my stash and AH situation. I'd say about 95% of the items I've seen on bnet trading are either ridiculously overpriced (can find similar item for much less on AH) or they're just... not very good. Not worth the time. I think I can probably count on 2 hands the number of times I saw a really unique item (talking 500M+ price point).

TLDR: I support these

Same! I have so much stuff that seems worth something more than vendor I think I will follow suit.
