I think the new inferno is really easy. I find it almost boring to play now.

Opinions on new Inferno?

I don't know of the statistics, but for players like me (1-2m budget on items), I find it difficult to say the least.

i find it pretty easy...i was able to farm ok solo in 1.0.3. now it's really easy in 1.0.4. 1.0.5 will probably be superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr easy, but i'll probably be using the player x difficulty thing and i think that'll give a good difficulty. i think that feature will be great since we can decide for ourselves how hard we want it to be, and also we'll be able to think about how hard to make it in order to balance between difficulty and efficiency.

Depends what class you play, I suppose. As a demon hunter I still find myself dying here and there, but that's mostly because I'm careless.
With the upcoming 25% mob damage nerf it's hard to actually say where it'll stand. In 1.0.4 they already brought the difficulty down quite a bit. I just hope it'll stay a challenge, rather than something that anybody with any sort of DPS can do... |

It really depends on where you are. I was banging my head against the wall PRE-1.03. It was stupid difficult. Melee classes were pretty much hit with a "You Shall Not Pass" sign after Act 1. I knew a dozen or so people who just quit because a single fallen could beat a barb with 35k hp and 700 resist.
Pre 1.04 was the right balance for me. It was still pretty hard, but with enough defense, you could get through it. Farming wasn't exactly a breeze, but I did beat the game with a melee character. Repair costs were still pretty rough, so you had to focus on defense to avoid dying too much. Post 1.04, I've noticed that you can really streamline your character to maximize farming efficiency. Mobs don't hit nearly as hard, as well as repair costs being reasonable. In perspective, if you bled hours upon hours in pre-1.03, you'd probably feel Inferno right now is *really* easy. But if you don't have that perspective (and consequently, the gear), then yeah, I think there's still work to be done to clear the game. |

I'm shooting for the moon by trying to get the hardcore inferno acheivements. Before, that seemed impossible without spending hundreds of hours (which I don't have). Now, it's looking fairly doable, but difficult enough to keep it exciting.
