Ways to make quick money on the AH?

Before 1.04, it seemed quite a bit easier to make money buying and selling on the AH. Now that their has been 6 different slots to search for stats, new legendaries and now that they don't include the gem stats in the searches, I have run out of ways to make easy money on the AH. Pre-patch 1.04 it seems sniping items at the last second was allot easier as you could not sort by items by their end date as well. I could easily make anywhere from 1 to 5 or even 10 million in one day. Anyways my economy has dried up to farming and getting lucky at selling the worthless items that I find.

In addition to that, item prices have dropped and even good items are not selling.

Anyone know some easy ways to make money on the AH?

I though of playing gems and tomes like the stock market, still waiting to make my move and figure out where all the prices are going.

Right now I'm thinking of just keeping my money until the next patch, and when things stabilize a bit....

If you can't get any items sold and they are good , try dropping the prices a bit after each failed auction. Also you can sell inferno materials from salvage (if you have stacks of 100), they sell fast but for low cash - the highest you'll probably get is 1000g / 1 piece if you're lucky , so you get like 85k gold for 100 stack Exquisite Essence , and if you salvage legendaries for fiery brimstone , those sell for more.

Yes I sell salvageable materials, and yes I do drop the price of my items occasionally if I don't get a bid and definitely after the auction has ended. I was more getting at the item flipping side how that has become very hard to do. Since that used to be my main source of income, it trickled down to what I can find auctioning items that I find farming. They do sell, for some gold, eventually anyways, but I certainly do not make as much as before 1.04.

I have been trying to flip common legendaries such as puzzle rings ect, but as I mentioned, trying to win them by biding is very tough since everyone can simply sort by time remaining and snipe whatever is finishing with 1 min left.... I used to flip helm of commanders pretty quickly as well as socketed armors and pants, but as most of you know that has dried up as well.

In terms of the legendaries for brimstones, I also tried that but everyone seems to be buying them cheaper than the price of brimstones (After the 15% is factored in). I'll keep looking... but farming seems to be the only way to make money after 1.04.

You can try to use arbitrage between the GAH and RMAH. I've on some occasions made over $20 on a single transaction simply because someone severely underpriced an item on one market, so I bought it there and sold it on the other. It does take luck and it's not consistent, but it's not very time consuming. If you can hit just ONE big deal, you can really start to build a massive bankroll buying items in the millions and eventually, more. Here are just a couple of things I look at regularly because they are ripe for flipping:

1) Set items with high primaries/vitality/resist. These are going to cost A LOT to get started, but it's not impossible to make like 25-50M by buying low, selling high. The low end sets are going to be stable as well as the godly end. The slightly imperfect ones are the ones you want. People often don't know how much they can get for something and sometimes sell something very low.

2) Popular legendaries. I don't like to do these because it's hard to sort them by stats as well as for the most part, these items are stable (Leoric's Signet). On occasion, you can find a great deal though.

3) Weapons. I usually find weapons on RMAH that I sell on GAH. It's tough these days to sell weapons that are anything less than godly and sometimes, people get frustrated and put up great deals on RMAH for low prices. It's rare, but it does happen.

Last note: Always consider the value of gold vs the cost of gold because they are different. Something worth 20 M gold will be worth $25 (assuming $1.25 per million gold). But to convert it back to actual RMAH dollars, you are going to lose 15%. So buying a 20 M gold with $25 is actually a losing proposition; you need an item to be worth 23.5 M, which will be worth $29.4. Then after the sale, you will get $25 to break even. It's also going to be better to sell an item over $7 on the RMAH since it takes out a flat $1, which is 14.3% as opposed to the gold value on the GAH, which will be reduced by 15%.

I started this weekend to play on the variation of the prices of comodities.
I managed to make 300%. It may sound much, but i started out with 2.5 mil (i know, i'm poor; i should feel bad, and i feel bad).
But it went pretty nice.

Too bad there is no "Craft all" button. As it would help a lot with ToJ (i bought/sold tens of thousands) and square gems (or even flawless square gems) because there are a lot of them floating around and no one has the time/patience to craft something with them.
For example: Square Amethist and Square Topaz where seeling for less than 46 gold per unit (vendor price is 46 gold).
If we had a "Craft all" button people would be buying more of them to make Flawless Squares.
