Demon Hunter Best in Slot Legendaries

Best in class is so strange for Diablo 3. There's so much gear synergy between Damage, Base Stats, Attack Speed, Critical Hit Damage and Critical Hit Chance that saying any individual piece is the "best" is pretty silly, in my opinion, but if you're going to play that game ...

Blizzard pretty much screwed the pooch when they get 2H DH's a eff'ing fantastic Bow, XBow and Quiver and stuck Dual Wields with the set pieces Danetta's Revenge and Danetta's Spite. The best, but not only, reason to Dual Wield is being able to top out at 400% Crit Damage and they made it impossible to get that with that set. Whoops. That said, a perfect Spite and socketed, perfect Calamity will be very close, if not better, than the dps put out by a perfect Manticore and Dead's Man's Legacy. A Rare that rolls the same as a Revenge, but with Crit Damage and a socket instead of Hatred Regen would be crazy good with the life drain (this also means the best offhand 1H XBow is probably one of the rarest to-end weapons in the entire game - thanks Blizz). Allowing 2H bows to have more potential +attack speed through Dead Man's Legacy was a mistake, but not a very big one.

That said, I'll never see any of that equipment, but it's nice to pretend.

I've had decent luck dropping a few of these set items. Mempo, Dead Man's Legacy, Lacuni Prowler's, and Andariels Vissage. Unfortunately the Mempo and Legacy (which had very nice rolls) were both 1.03, and the prowlers rolled intell/no crit.
