So, I'm using Rapid Fire and I fire for one sec, how many arrows are shot out if my attacks per second is one? Do each of these arrows have a chance to critical hit...by watching the hit numbers I would say, yes, but I'm not sure it isn't the bunch of arrows that critically hits. Does that make sense? What is the reduction based for each arrow?
Hypothesis: Rapid fire launches 5 arrows per second based on the 1 aps weapon. We know from the skill stats that it is 228% weapon damage, so that's 45.6% weapon damage per arrow and with 1 aps. So if your CHD = 100% and an arrow hits the damage is changed from 45.6% to 91.2% damage. Of course these are all averages, based upon your weapon damage range. But it appears to me at first glance the chance to proc off of Rapid fire would be 5x more likely compared to something that fires a single arrow. Following this up, if you now have a 2 aps weapon, you have a 10x more likely chance to proc, in which case weapon speed increase is a huge advantage if you want to constantly critically hit and freeze something in place. Unfortunately this is all based off a fact I don't know, how many hits occur when using Rapid Fire? Thanks for your help and patience to respond, I maybe missing something else completely, but don't know to ask it or how it effects what I'm getting at. |
How many hits occur with Rapid Fire?

Each skill has a different proc coefficient. This essentially means that the chance to proc shown on an item is modified by a certain amount. In the case of skills such as Rapid Fire, the chance to proc is much lower per hit than, say, a normal attack.
