I have a passion for chopping things in real life. This baby is at my bedside in case "zombies" try to break into the master suite. Best parts are at 1:07 onward. Inexpensive tool for your home defense needs.

@Buzzell Almost. It goes about halfway down the handle. The video is no joke of it in action. Love the way you can cut a pig really easily with it.

@Khan my experience with blades basically comes down to full tang or delicate piece of shit.

@Buzzell Have you watched the video? Additionally, the finest japanese katana are not completely full tang. Partial tang blades are utilized when the blade is meant to be light and kept very sharp vs a full tang where the blade's less than ideal sharpness can be overcome via leverage of a full tang. Then there's the issue of folder blades. They definitely aren't full tang however this company makes arguable the strongest folders. I would direct you the 4:37 part of the video where a man is doing pull ups while the blade is locked open to demonstrate its durability. I used to keep a voyager knife like that on me for use against dogs and people and I've had it for 5 years now.

@khan I didn't say I was an expert! =p
I guess I should have been less general. I was referring to machetes, though I guess the katana machete would be an exception to everything.

My usual carry.

Thats a nice knife. My carry for ugly places.. My everyday..

I used to carry a folder but the combat practicality isn't as great as the above two I linked.

I work in Oakland, CA sometimes (very violent American city). Additionally, twice in my life I was able to fend off a viscous dog with my blade. Lastly, I'm not the type that exercises the "run" option...

I see.
and is that legal?
where I live, I don't think it's legal to carry anything with a blade bigger than a swiss knife army's blade.

thanks for the link, I really like their stuff.
I only own a mockup of the daggers used by V in V for Vendetta.

Yup! Totally legal! Those daggers are neat. Personally, I prefer blades than firearms as most of my early life training was with knives and swords; although I own guns.
