I'm trying to get to that magical 100k unbuffed spot.
Obviously just upgrading my weapons won't do it, I need to replace a lot of gear.

As far as raw damage output goes Skorn seems to be one of the best weapons.
I have one, with some lifesteal even. But I found the attack speed of using a 2H weapon is simply too low to make it effective.
Sure, I 1-shot more mobs, but overall it just felt like a step backwards.

I now got my hands on an Echoing Fury, which seems to work much better. (Even though due to a stupid AH mistake I got one with int instead of dex)

So any weapon advice from the expert monks here?

There is some information every monk could use although it's really expansive on EU if you don't have the time to rock the AH

I don't really like Skorn TBH. I've only used LoH ones, so maybe a LS one would be better, but I've found that the overall damage just can't match dual wielding. I can easily break 210k unbuffed DPS with a decent Skorn, but the main thing that drops off is your ability to generate tornadoes from Sweeping Wind. I can't really do the exact math on it, but I think dual wielding does more damage even with lower character DPS because of the tornadoes. I suppose if you tailor your build around Skorn and stack a lot of AS and you can get to some obscene number like 250-300k unbuffed, it would make a difference, but I really prefer the versatility of dual wielding and its budget friendliness.

If you're looking to get higher DPS, I suggest stacking more CD. You have 40.5 CC but only 285 CD. You want to get to at least 400 CD to balance out the CC multiplier. 120 CD is actually very easy for you (upgrade gems for 60, get the rest on ammy/gloves). This should get you to 100k or at least very close to it.

I got the same feeling. Monk has so much going for him with fast attacks that Skorn just isn't worth it.

I put Skorn back on AH for now, hopefully it sells and I'll have money for better amy/gloves.

And yip, planning on replacing the CD gems asap.
