Hey everyone. I'm pretty new here, mostly play solo or with a couple of my friends but I'm looking to group up with some more people so feel free to add me for key farming (still getting everything together to make machines, need to farm A3 keys and the plan). Anyways, I was hoping for a bit of advice on my gear and setup. Mostly looking for where I can make the biggest improvements on my budget (currently have around 3.5 Mil). I know I'm missing APoC since I just switched over to using WW. Before I was having fun with meteor in its spot and a familiar in place of explosive blast. Even so I'm finding with using blades as a source of damage and healing I rarely run out of AP. With my current setup I can farm MP1 at full speed and clear MP4 with lots of care. I'm hoping to gear up enough to do group Ubers on at least MP5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

@argento Welcome aboard! You're right about the APOC. Definitely look for a source and wand with it. I always recommend a Chant's set. Yeah, its pricey but currently its the end game set for WW/CM wizards as its the quickest set with APOC. Additionally, the wand in the set has either lifesteal (the one I always use) or a socket (the one that stays in my stash until they enhance wizard's lifesteal capabilities). Good choice with the spectral blades/healing blades. You may be able to find a Chants source that has added spectral blade damage and APOC for cheap. |

Wow. I just checked prices on the chant's set. It's much higher than I remember it. I've got spares. Maybe I'll do a giveaway... |

Ya, Ive been watching chant's sets for a while now and trying to save up for those, a witching hour and Inna's pants. I've still got a long ways to go :) Thanks for the advice! |

FYI, if you are looking for a cheap source, look for "The Oculus" Get one with apoc, cc and other wiz friendly specs for way less than Chantodo. If you are looking to save $, that would be the way to go but if you have $ a Chant source with the wand is the way to go. |

@Argento Here's what I see. Use Cold Blooded in place of Blur. The 20% additional damage is important, there is precious little damage in the game which is considered "melee damage" (whether or not you're in melee range), and if you're getting FN out often enough, you won't be taking melee damage regardless. Consider getting some Inna's pants. Your EHP should be high enough without the pants you have in now. It is the cheapest Legendary item to obtain which will give you IAS, and I think that the 24% move speed is important. I know I definitely can't play the game without it. Consider using Prism instead of Crystal Shell. The lower AP cost modifier should ensure you proc everything more often, which means that you should be refreshing DS more frequently and therefore won't need the extra HP from Shell. Bear in mind that I use WW for CM and not Meteor, so you might not need to make any of these adjustments. Be sure to add us to your list. |

I'm not a wizard expert by any means (lol, look at my profile) but I think there are basic stats to adhere to so you can be succesfull as possible. The way I see it and please correct me if Im wrong. Crit hit chance: at least 40% (the more the better) Attacks per second: at least 2 (the more the better) Arcane power on hit: somewhere about 20 should do the job All resist: at least 400 (bare minimum, shoot for higher) Life on hit: 700 minimum Vitality: 30k minimum I realize these are just some basic stats especially when you condider the build you will use but i think it is a good point of reference. BTW, totally agree with Argento's assesment of Cold blooded over Blur. |
