I had some good time for some gaming this weekend. And what a couple of days it were.
This is just me rambling on about my weekend. But it shows just how the game goes, and why I still enjoy it.

Up: While levelling my HC DH I ran into one of those pesky unique guy's I'm still missing.
Tracking down all the unique guys is becoming a painful experience, so finding these is more rewarding than a legendary drop

Down: DH dies 3 minutes later to a rare snake... and on lvl 59.9. Another 15-30 minutes would have been lvl 60. ;)
If it was my first HC death I would probably have been devastated. Now I just found it funny. It did make up my mind on HC DH though... I'm done with them. Sticking to the Monk for now.

Up: Bought a puzzle ring to equip my HC follower with for 100k. Might sound stupid, but my HC budget is very low, and farming is unsafe. So any additional gobbo's are good. And I figured I will get back the 100k quick enough.
Down: Ring only has dex, and I'm using an enchantress.

Up: See a nice Cindercoat on AH for my Fire-res HC monk.
You might be screaming at your screen right now for me even using something like Cindercoat, but like I say my HC budget is tiny.
Down: Its 1mil gold, and I only have 800k.

Up: I start grinding away, figuring I can farm the 200k quick enough I can buy the coat. And what do you know... the puzzle ring spawns a goblin, that drops a .....
wait for it....
Cindercoat.
Down: It has int instead of dex. (A down, but the puzzle ring is payed off right there)

Down: I check the ah after grinding the gold, and oh-no, the one I looked at have been sold.
Up: There is another one with slightly worse stats with no buyout.
Up up and away: I win the Cindercoat for 400k. :)

Also... my HC monk survived the weekend Big up.

So... what keeps you motivated playing Diablo while the hours ticks away?

So... what keeps you motivated playing Diablo while the hours ticks away?

No time to play other games when I only have a couple of hours max per day. Diablo is flexible in that I can just hit escape and pause my single player game while I attend to other matters in the house.

Up: I saw 3 legs in one of my run
Down: I haven't seen legs in my last 3 runs

Up: Bought a good SoJ for 28m
Down: My gold reserve is depleting

Up: Bought an Inna Helm with +8% SW damage for 3.2m
Down: I need to portal back to town to collect it from the stash and then gem it.

Up: Got time to play D3. Hopefully can double Tempest Rush.
Down: Runs are getting boring without nice loots

My up / down timeline

Friday
Up: Played quite a bit of d3 actually, gf was out on friday night so got an hour half in and had 3 drops. Dead mans with half decent rolls, pox ring & some dosh which i immediately brimestoned.
Down: gf came home early, stopping my glorious start to the weekend.

Sat
Up: Found nice average damage, CC, LOh IAS ring with STR for my barb. She can now rock MP5.. but sticking with MP4 for speed.
Down: Only had 1 run.

Sunday:
Up: Played quite a lot on and off throughout the day.
Found my first Andi's helm which gave nice DPS boost but I'm generally wearing my MF helm these days when playing DH. Andi helm didn't roll a socket so no joy with a gem.
Purchased a mempo for DH for what I thought was a good price, 3.6M.
Purcahsed a bunch of legendarys for 2-3K which i brimestoned, profit!
Played some LoL in between runs with mates on Skype
Down: Playing single player to get to AH you have to leave your game. Bit annoying that you can't resume where you left off like in a Party as I like to do "full clears" as much as possible.
Still no luck on any +movement speed gear for barb. She's got zero and it's painful after playing DH, also means I can't sustain Wrath so if I run into packs back to back I usually die.

Definitely a net positive depending which unique. I could easily level another 60 in the time I've spent looking for some of these guys. Too bad you're not on NA for me to help ya along.

So... what keeps you motivated playing Diablo while the hours ticks away?

I think right now the only things are getting my first Hellfire Ring and to have the fastest aps on my DH possible with decent gear. I need good Inna pants, Witching hour and Tal Rasha's Armor. It's going to take forever, but it's good to have a long-term goal. 4.0 aps and beyond!

@ecocd Have you not had the time to play much, or have you had trouble with high MP ubers dropping organs? A bunch of us run ubers multiple times a week. MP10 is tough if all 4 people aren't geared great, but 7-9 are definitely do-able depending on the group, and should get you organs at a decent rate. I'll have to add you so you can join - when do you usually play?

I've been trying out a lot of gear/skill combinations lately and I wanted to firm up my build before bugging people to do uber runs. I did two at the very beginning with a group when I had poor stats and an unsettled build and felt completely useless. I've also been getting terrible luck on key drops lately. I'm feeling better about my build now so I was probably going to hit up some players this week or this weekend on the boards.

I died at least 6 times trying to get the Act 1 key on MP7 solo (no drop, ofc >_<). I imagine I would be burnt crispy trying MP10 Ubers. When I can play, I'm usually on after 8pm CT.

Edit: My profile doesn't look like it's updated. If you see my DH with a Mempo, you know it's been updated.
