PC Immortal King's Stride

Re-posting this from the "So what have you found in 1.06" thread since this is probably the more appropriate place to ask (& since I wasn't getting any replies there...)

I picked up a pair of Immortal King's Stride boots in a Public game the other day & I'm guessing it'd be awesome for someone who is starting up a Barbarian character, since they can start to use it at level 42; however, no idea how to price it, as the max "reduced level" boots I could find on the AH was 10, whereas this one is 18...!

Any suggestions on a price?

The floor would be the 3 main stats of 90 Str, 90 Vit, +12% Movement Speed for all rares available in AH, for a level 42 (both reduced levels and without).

The limit to the potential upside are that:
1) + AR not really needed until Hell, and many cheap +AR gears at Hell level. When I was powerleveling my barb I browsed for Reduced Level 18 1-hander for level42. If I need survivability I looked for +vital/ +LoH or even a socket for purple gem at that level.
2) Reduced CC, and most of the set bonus not really needed until possibly Inferno. My barb basically still breezed through Hell using low level gears, in her rush to lvl60 in 12 hours +.
3) In competition with Cain's Sandal which provides +30% bonus experience when you acquire at least 3 out of 4 in the set. Hence a powerleveler who has already equipped Cain's Sandal (+10-11% move speed) at lvl22 most likely would not browse for this.

Potential Upside:
- PvP bracket at level42??
- Rich kids who want to collect a set ASAP
- Mentality of Green > Yellow
- Flipper who just like to flip more

Anyway don't be afraid to price it high. If needed relist a few times (careful of the zeros!), usually players tend to buyout 1D11hr and 1D12hr before keeping their head cool and before doing more comparisons.

@douvinsky: Thank you for the advice & insight, especially since I know very little about how Barbarians think. :) So you recommend having a Buyout price for this item as opposed to an open bid to see how high it might go?

I know very little at Barbarians too except I tried powerleveled one as fast as I could. My response could be a bit on the negative side so don't take up my pessimism fully, I could be totally wrong.

With a buyout, someone who really needs it at level42 would have just paid upfront for the immediate enjoyment. Open bid, more for flippers/ really rare or expensive items.

Pricing is an art and I really have no great advice here. Either set bid = buyout at an expensive price (you may have to relist it a few times, or lower depending on how greedy you are at the first go) if your target is the one who needs it at level42, or set a small bid at an amount which you are comfortable of receiving if only one bidder bids together with a buyout (low to encourage buyout from the target of lvl42, or high if you want to play the bidding game but the risk is could be only one bidder).

Either way, list it over the weekend.

I did MP10 hell with usual gear i found while power leveling, except an AH level reduction hammer with 1000DPS, you don't really need good armor/AR as mentioned so I find anything but weapons sell well with level reduction... however the upside to gear like this is you'll not really need to replace it when you get to inferno i suppose until you're trying to to MP5+.

Good luck!
