Long story short:

I find new life in Hardcore. I have not touched my Softcore P70 Monk after I started my journey in Hardcore a couple of weeks ago, and have deleted some softcore toons to make room for more Hardcore toons.

I am working on a project to create new toon in each of the 5 classes, play them in MP10 as far as I could which I think Nightmare Act 1 (or 2?) could still be safe to do it in MP10. I started with zero gold balance in Hardcore, but I am free to use own loots and vendor, and Hardcore GAH with accumulated gold (from picked up, and auctioned item).

I created these initial 5 toons:

1) WitchDoctor - UlumuluWey
2) Demon Hunter - NineLivesCat
3) Monk - LastGirl
4) Barbarian - FightTruPain
5) Wizard - WisdomToLive

Last night, UlumuluWey completed Normal using MP10, and he is now proceeding to Nightmare Act 1. Due to the fast XP gains, he was already at level35 when he downed Diablo. First time I have hastened heartbeats when fighting a boss using him! There were occassions where his HP is down to 50% and was held by Diablo in the air and I thought, oh well, start over? I attached the stats during boss fights in the following tables for your reference, and also for my own reference when I redo the fights using other new classes. My next class to catch up would be DH, I love her playstyle.

I will update this post when any of my toons die in this project, or when something interesting happens.

UlumuluWey downed SK last night, Nightmare MP10. It takes much longer to kill the SK in Nightmare, but overall still an easy fight for WD. The more exciting fight came right after that, it was at Wotham facing the waller Berserkers!

Been fun reading your HC diary thus far, ballsy trying MP10!

UlumuluWey will face The Butcher next, and I will just play him overcautiously. I think I would have more adrenalin rush when I play my DH as the next leveling toon.

My HC Barb died a few days ago after Khasim Outpost on MP10. I was too cocky and Shatterbone or whatever its name (big berserker elite) beat me down with a single blow at the entrance to maghda's lair.

Lvl18? Did you start with MP10 since the beginning? Both my WD and DH were like lvl19 when they hit The Butcher. Thanks for the head up....I will be careful when I bring my melee toons next time.

Are you starting a HC DH? Not sure if you want these, I have 2 level8 used Xbows. If you don't mind the blood stains on them, hit me up in game, and I can pass them to you in advance before you level up.

UlumuluWey was heading towards The Butcher. The fights are getting tougher and tougher. He finally reached the checkpoint outside The Chamber of Suffering. At level 41, he was hesitating. Can he handle The Butcher at MP10, without any help from reduced level weapons and armors? If he failed, his journey will end here. Should he wait for a few more levels?

He finally decided. He re-geared himself with the best gears he had. Live and let's die.

Downed The Butcher on MP10 Nightmare, and it proves that MP10 can be done until Nightmare Act 1 (at least with WD). The stats on my WD in the NM Act 1 boss fights:



Skills used:
Zombie dogs - lifelink
Gargantum - restless giant
Poison darts - splinters
Spirit Walk - Jaunt
Haunt - consuming spirits
Spirit Barrage - The spirit is willing

The fight is easy.............just haunt and keep bombarding The Butcher with Spirit Barrage.

I am going to level my DH now :P

FYI. Mp10 nightmare a4 is just that a nightmare. I didn't die, but felt very uneasy. Will be lowering it from now on.

You definitely aroused my interest to continue with my WD in Nightmare MP10 all the way. Did you manage to down Diablo on MP10 Nightmare?

You have definitely provided me with a good feel of when I would be ready for Nightmare Diablo. Right now I am just groping in the dark and hope that I am ready (or sometimes I hope that I will die) for the next encounter. It also means that it is definitely viable to do Hardcore MP10 up to Nightmare Act IV, at least with WDs :P

My WD is currently taking a rest after Nightmare Butcher. I am currently leveling my monk to Normal Act 2, before I press on with my DH to beat Nightmare Act 1. I wanna see if it is easy with DH as well to beat Nightmare Act 1. After which I may continue my journey with WD.

I am enjoying this game tremendously right now. It is definitely a break from farming in softcore, and is a break from trying to fast level a toon to 60. I am enjoying every little fight at MP10, every item which I pick up, and every new class skills. I even dreamt of having a life regen chest at level1 while I was sleeping last night lol.

You guys are doing the WD class proud for sure. I recently lost my HC lvl 29 wizard to Azmodan and that was on mp0. Granted, it was a stupid mistake on my part but it just goes to show you how easily one mistake can end you. Keep up the good work guys.

Oh I hear that! On hell mp0 things die quickly, but pack quite the punch. I have been low in life too many times.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your wizard. This reminds me to keep playing cautiously. As I am leveling my DH now, I am making sure that when benchmarked to my WD's at each crucial fight, she always has sufficient HP and DPS. I love her and I don't want to lose her too early. That being said, I couldn't resist vaulting into the pack of elites (give them a little stun using rune) and pick up those globes right under their feet to regain hatred, and continue blasting them with Rapid Fire bang bang bang bang....

Wizard could be the most difficult class to level in MP10. This is just my feeling, as the highest level wizard I have is level5. I am very interested to see when I next level a wizard in MP10, how far he could go. This could well be my class where death during leveling is unavoidable in my MP10 journey, but we will see.

I will try to level each class by myself first. I found that I am enjoying the game more at MP10 - I now treat each fight as my possible last fight! I will give you a yell if I need help in the future.

A new lvl 60 is now here! Still in A3 hell, but its going good. Excited and nervous to begin my grind for looted.
