A thread for impressive (or spectacularly unimpressive) crafted items in 1.0.7 PTR and live.

The recipes are one for each Stat. Wow. I take back the 50% drop rate comments. It will take a while to find one for each Stat. I found an Archon Gauntlets of Strength recipe on my DH on my first Butcher run. 100-115 main stat + 5 affixes. That's better than the typical strength modifier which only goes up to 100. I'm not quite impressed, but at least they'll roll with ilvl 63 affixes so they have the potential for some great gear. Overall, I can't see spending on anything other than Gloves since mine are lackluster. Even my amulet collection is quite good right now and it's hard seeing investing 210k Gold in a single Amulet.

All my Gold didn't transfer over, because it was all set to auctions. Forunately, people were buying Perfect Square Gems for a jillion Gold. Seriously I sold 10 Perfect Square Emeralds at 700k / gem and the Flawless Square Emeralds cost 40k at the time. I'm at 5 million Gold now so I'll be set to craft 4 dozen amulets after a few hours when all the gem prices come down to normal levels. Laughably, brimstones are somehow under 40k.

These are all from the Dex Ammy plan

hmm you had a few rough rolls there but a few of those like the omen are not too bad at all

@gnawol Do you know about how many you crafted? I don't think +200 Dex is guaranteed so that can't be all of them. I think the Vit amulets also have a chance to be useful. I wonder if the durability has any significance. They vary quite a bit across Amulets.

Taking the best rolls from all those amulets and making one:

32-75 Damage
252 Dexterity
165 Vitality
72 Resist All
5% Attack Speed
99% Critical Hit Damage
9% Critical Hit Chance

The above amulet has 7 affixes, but so does the Reknown Star shown above.

Leftovers:
14% Life
590 Life Regen

The amulet I would want would be:

32-75 Damage
165 Vitality
72 Resist All
590 Life Regen
5% Attack Speed
99% Critical Hit Damage
9% Critical Hit Chance

Just being picky, but Renown Star has 6 affixes:
1) Max Damage 27 = MaxDam14
2) 225 Dex = Dex 17 Secondary + Dex 13 (primary)
3) 52 Str / 65 Int = StrInt XII
4) 56 Arcane Resist = ArcaneResist VIII-XII
5) 72 Resist All = ResistAll VII
6) 33% Gold Find = Gold VI

You actually have 9 affixes on your Frankenstein's Amulet: Min Damage, Max Damage, Dex (second), Dex (primary), Vit (primary), ResistAll, Attack Speed, Crit Damage, Crit Chance

Defiant Gorget has a near perfect Dex on a Dex primary + Dex/Vit roll if you need Vitality on it. It would be more like:
32 Min Damage
213 Dex
70-100 Vit
72 Res All
99% Crit Damage
9% Crit Chance

Or
252 Dex
14% Life (or 165 Vit)
72 Res All
99% Crit Damage
9% Crit Chance

Still pretty nice amulets.

Hell yeah these are nice. Looks like amulets are the way to go. My VIT bracers I crafted are so embarrassing (crafted 3) that I decided to not even post images. Total waste.

@ecocd I crafted those 10 in a row, no more than that. The Rolls aren't all that bad if iI had to compare them with the ones that drop, they are considerably better than anything iI found as loot

Hopefully this isn't an anomoly and the odds of making a really decent amulet is a possible, if not viable, option. That being said...I'll predict the ammy market will drop in price at least 10% across the board with the lone exception being the 500 mil+ sales.

@gnawol when you craft 10 infant formula in a row early this year, I wonder how many of them will be strawberry flavored.

What I want to do is craft hundreds of amulets and record the mods that roll on the PTR where it's free to roll them. If we know the relative proportion of the best mods that roll on the crafted amulets, it will be straightforward to determine the probabilities of trifecta amulet and the expected cost to roll one.

When I proposed something similar months ago, I got a direct financial offer of help from a forumite or two here. This time I'll be able to afford it on my own thanks to the ridiculous Radiant Star and Exquisite Essence market. 350% ROI right now from crafting Amethysts and 20-40k per Essence? Thankyouverymuch. I literally went from 189,000 Gold at the PTR release (money was tied up in maintenance auctions) to 82,000,000 Gold this morning nearly all from gem crafting. Now it's just a matter of Demonic Essences. So many Demonic Essences... Probably need at least 500 of them.

Okay, this is now officially a bad idea.

FYI, if anyone knows someone that's found a Marquise Ruby recipe, I would very, very much love to craft one.

I'd love to have an ammy recipe if anyone finds an extra!

PS if anyone wants to really test some rolls, i have a [filtered]load of demon essence but i seriously lack gold after cashing out, i have 100k left in my bank :-P So if you want some testing done for Ammy crafting, I'm willing to take gold in teh name of science and will post results here

The Perfect Square Emeralds have such retarded prices (264K per piece) the cost of crafting these amulets at this price isn't really ideal. I think 3.5million would cover 10 Amulet's if you can spare it?
