Solo vs. public co-op.

Another HC question.

I enjoy HC most when I have a trusted ally with me. I.e. a friend I actually know, and not a random public game.
As a matter of fact, I think I haven't played more than about 1 hour public co-op.

The problem is, on EU server I don't actually know that many players with HC chars. So I end up playing solo most of the time. And as we all know, DC is a great risk when playing solo.

So... what do you guys prefer. Playing solo or playing public co-op with players you don't know, and can't really trust?

I have experienced game freezes frequent enough. 4 in 170 hours of play on WD, and once on my new monk.

I will stick to co-op for now, especially with the improvement made to co-op games in 1.08.

Playing with players you don't know is better than playing solo. Most of the Hardcore players would attempt to save you. Afterall, it is a known risk to all experienced hardcore players.

For me, I have started to build up a list of frequent friends who can do co-op together at the US server. It is like after a run and you like each other's playstyle (more importantly cohersiveness) that you start to add each other for future runs.

I always thought that if anything slightly dodge happens, hit Escape straight away if you're playing solo? I guess this doesn't work for a total connection loss but still worthwhile doing if you think something is astray.
