Bam! Looks like Anurian will need to update the Price Tracker for gold again. |
Gold stack size changing from 10m to 50m tomorrow.

This is just nuts. It won't drop to that overnight.. but it'll happen.
I just bought CC mempo and sold rest of my gold on AH for 10stack. Gold is the worst commodity to have (always has been I guess!). |

Here's a thought... if gold becomes crazy cheap in dollar terms, does this open the door for crafting?
Are mats now the new gold? |

This is going to make the RMAH a much better choice overall, if the cap stays at 2 bill on the gold ah.

Unfortunately I don't want to walk that slippery slope of paying for a "pay to win" game. Plus I don't want to encourage Blizzard to emphasize the RMAH even more. But yeah, even a middling player like me will probably post decent gear I find on the RMAH and and once I have some starting capital try to upgrade from there. Hmmm should be cheaper to upgrade my Witching Hour if I don't need pickup radius any more :P |

What is the point of gold even dropping on the ground if I find a nickel (0.05 USD dollars) on the ground in real life and it is worth 10m gold in the game as of 7/13/13? Ridiculous and frustrating.
For people who are considering quitting/already quit the game, seems like a good time to liquidate all assets to the RMAH, and save up for Loot 2.0. |

@Depablo
True or False: The enjoyment I have in this game is directly related to the monetary value of the drops and my account. If this statement is true, I'm not sure Diablo 3 is the game to play anymore. On a side note: Good items will always be good items. Your good drop will be valued accordingly. You'll have to move to battle.net balance instead of gold, but then you can use your battle.net balance to buy good items without losing 15% of your wealth. Instead you only lose $1 per transaction. Potentially a much better system. |

Assuming the worst. What item will sell for $1.25 aka 250 mil on the rmah? Which nets the seller 50 mil of usd.

I just sold one for $1.35. Find it odd people buying items of this cost right now. Over the past couple months my RMAH auctions have slowed to a crawl, 2 in the last week and nothing at all for several weeks before that but I've only got mid tier items for sale.

My original post got deleted but come on this statement is ridiculous and shows he knows nothing about how the AH works. Just surprising given his elite d3 account is all. I'll be surprised as hell if this floor is reached anytime soon. Predictions? It wont happen, an expansion will be out before then to boost things up again. I say maybe in 2-3 years. |

One post and you're surprised about something? I started with the word 'assuming' and followed it up with 'the worst' for a reason. It is a fact that the price will fall to the floor as it has happened twice already. Yes it will take some time, but I doubt it will take more than a year. My hope is it doesn't happen before a released upgrade. I think it is harder to raise the price per than maintain it. |

The crazy thing is that the price has been going up, it's now at $1.52 per 50 mill.
