So since DHub has been dieing down lately, figured Id post some news from the gear world of D3.

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=69005026&f=153

Above link is to d2jsp where a guy is selling what looks like Teeming Necklace x3. Current bid on it is 120 billion. As you can see from the pics on the forum, its not crafted, its an actual drop.

For people who aren't on point with Barbs, Teeming Necklace is the #1 Barb Ammy with both DMG and EHP. It makes it the #1 ammy sought after by Barbs, unless you wanna play the crafting game, haha. :) Teeming was duped ALOT before the Rollback fix was corrected. You can find one usually on RMAH for 200-250$.

As you can see in the link/forum, that ammy is GODLY. It is now the #1 ammy in the world and IMO a collectors piece pre RoS as I believe there is no more duping going on atm. Insane!

It's a really good amulet but rather worthless with the expansion coming soon =/ Everyone is trying to get rid of their items before the expansion.

Then again, there's still 6 full months before the expansion and probably 5 months for Loot 2.0 (total guess, but I think they're going to use Loot 2.0 in D3C as a de facto beta test period for the waves that will be re-arriving for RoS). That's a lot of time to use that amulet.

Even with RoS, though, there are only going to be 2-3 more affix levels added which is probably going to bump the Stat levels about 100-120 more than right now. Crit Chance will probably go up 2%, CD up 20% or so and IAS 2%. Even if there are some impressive new set or legendary amulets that come out, that's going to be very valuable. Beyond that, the Crusaders are going to be using Strength so there will be a slightly expanded market for Strength gear.

I think that will be about the equivalent of a perfect ilvl 61 amulet right now which would still be sought after now (I'm guessing 200 Str / 80 Vit, 8% CC, 8% IAS, 50% CD). The CD affixes are still f***ed up and I'm hoping they fix that with the alvl 70 (or 73) items.

Is it worth 120 billion Gold? Well, not to most people, but it only takes 2 for an auction.

Weapons and armor, yes, those are going to be 100% worthless, but perfect ilvl 63 jewelry will hold some of its value, particularly great set jewelry which are likely to retain some value into Loot 2.0 as they will likely continue to contribute to set bonuses even when ilvl 70 set gear is out there.

EDIT And duh, without the AH in RoS, great gear is going to be hard to come by. A barb may be searching for hundreds and hundreds of hours before finding an amulet that even comes close to that one. I think I might go jewelry shopping...

For those that can't view that image at work (I had to use my phone), here are the stats.

Majesty Thrasher
+33-61 Damage
+330 Strength
+97 Vitality
+9% Attack Speed
+98% Crit Damage
+10% Crit Chance

As someone on d2jsp said, that ammy is godly in D3 and the future D4, haha. :)

Oh wow, such a thing of beauty :)
I simulated that thing in D3 up on my barb and it's giving me a 40k DPS increase as well.

I haven't actually been following the forums regarding Loot 2.0, but what happens to all the Legendary Set items? i.e., Will there be a new ilvl70 DH set to replace Natalya's, or a new ilvl70 Monks set to replace Inna's...? Or do all of those sets become like the [Legacy] set and there's a "new & improved" version of those sets...?

I would definitely agree with @ecocd's point that w/o an AH in the future, trying to get good gear (such as the aforementioned ilvl63 Barbarian amulet being discussed) via drops only might be quite difficult...

Loot 2.0 will have four primary components.

First, there will be new Legendaries and many of them will have unique passive abilities similar to what we saw in late patches of Diablo 2 which could potentially create new builds, altogether (dropping casting costs to zero, cross-class skills, etc).

Second, they will be leveling all existing Legendaries such that they can drop at a wider range of levels. This is apparently scaling the affix levels of both the random properties and the static properties of the Legendary items. They want people to be excited about any Legendary dropping being useful. No word on whether this applies to set items or how they will apply to set bonuses (frankly, the devs probably don't know, either).

Third, the drop rates will be dramatically lowered such that we'll see fewer drops, but higher quality drops.

Lastly, the AH will shut down. This is why the general opinion is that Loot 2.0 will be coming in April 2014 since that's the official close of the AH.

ilvl 70 is expansion only so we won't have to worry about those items until RoS. D3C will still cap players at clvl 60, limit players to the first 4 acts and nothing higher than Inferno difficulty. Crusader class will also only be available in RoS. They expect to launch Paragon 2.0 with Loot 2.0 so both features will be available in D3C.

Thanks for the detailed update, @ecocd! Based on what you've said, it sounds like the amulet in this OP is still a pretty decent deal (assuming you have the gold to buy it, of course)... :-)

@eastdragon42 Yeah. I think it will still be pretty good. I'm wondering if RoS is going to be like release version of Inferno. You have the vast, vast majority of players trying to survive Acts 1 and 2 and only the best of the best braving Acts 3 and 4 (okay, Act 3). I remember I spent a fair amount of time in Hell difficulty trying to pick up decent ilvl 61 gear there. They're looking to push defense much harder so those 250k unbuffed damage builds might have to scale back a bit to survive the deepest, darkest corners of RoS so most of us might be poking around with ilvl 63 gear for quite some time.

Or everything will drop like confetti and we'll all be laughing at our puny D3C gear 3 days after release (I say 3 days, because I'm sure the servers will melt for the first 2).
