So I recently learned that verizon put a 4g lte tower about 3miles away from my house. After looking on the internet, I saw that verizon now does internet with the 4g coverage. I went into the verizon store today and was told to try out the 4g lte hotspot to see how much data I would be using on the daily as a test run to see if I need a bigger package. Ended up picking up 12gb, 2 for my iphone, 10 for internet.

Came home tonight, plugged it in, and wow....

Its advertised that your suppose to get speeds of 15/5 max....

And thats what I got as a test. i know ookla sometimes lies but thats a good guess of speed.

Well my friends have cable that was 20/2 and I was streaming fine on it. You might be the same. I use Xsplit and for the majority of it is all about your bit rate. I let the setup do it and Im running with 1200 for both, ALOT less then what my UP speed. I can run with my current software, 560p, if I had the top of the line graphics card etc, I could prob easily do 1080p. But then again, I could care less since alot of people have bad internet.

Heres a link to a quick stream I did. Just to test it out. After using the setup wizard my game looked alot better, only prob is I'm alittle choppy in game. *Back to my old graphics card I have, it sucks and im running dual monitors*

**Update**

Well after 2 days of using the new MiFi adapter I was given by Verizon, Idk if its the best option. Have just been random Xsplit recordings etc and Im already at 3gb of 12. Maybe its because of doing speedtests with the software alot, who knows. I hate the feeling of having to watch over my back on my usage. If I use this much in 2 days, I doubt Id get the 30g home fusion plan for 120$, yuck, lol.

As for streaming goes, my CPU just can't handle even basic streaming low qualities. Game gets unbareable lag while on stream it looks decent. Unless anyone has any info/help they could send my way.

Damn, that ate up a lot of your bandwidth quick. What is your CPU?

AMD Phenom II X2 550 -- Has a benchmark of 2000. I built my pc about 3-4 years ago, way before streaming games became somewhat cool, haha.

And did alot of streaming today on low quality, it ran fine, I did lag here or there. Already at 8 gb out of 12 gb.
This is not gonna cut it. Thats playing D3, twitch dashboard to chat with viewers and xsplit. 1 and a half hour of streaming was 1gb.

My Speeds own!! Sad thing is that this is not the fastest, I could double it, but what is the point? Network card can't handle more than 100Mb/s...

*Just an update*

Ended up keeping the MiFi 4G LTE card for 1 more month then will be taking it back. It reset on the 3rd, and already the 5th, I am 2gb from my max. I must say streaming was alot of fun and I hope that someday soon, Internet gets better around my house. Met a few cool people while playing/streaming that said It was a great stream and that they will be back.

Hopefully better internet comes soon, My friends sister works for Blizzard and he might get his hands on some Friends and Family Beta Keys for RoS if they give em out. He's going to Blizzcon. We can only hope, haha.

It's at that point you cut out your Internet bill completely & rely on your phone's tethering to get your PC online...! ;-)
