Travis talks about this here.

What do you think about only being able to find the best items in the game?

I don't think it will be a huge problem as items will drop more and you have the Mystic to enchant things. I would prefer if the items were bind on equip so that you could at least have the option of trading it once.

Or account bound at least. Because my monk can still find something I want to rather use on my DH, for example.

P.s. can't look at the video, but assuming soul bound means character bound.

They're not stupid enough to make it character bound. I'm sure it's account bound or bust.

There's still 6 months for them to make changes. It could easily shift from account bound to character bound to bind on equip to no restriction back to account bound before an open beta even sees the light of day.

It was stated that all Legs which will be beastly will be able to trade in party for up to 2 hours. So say I get it to drop and it would work better for Anuiran in my group, I have up to 2 hours to trade with him in hopes of power and nonstop winnings of weekly giveaways. :)

For those without YouTube ability, this is talked about here:

Oh and I am very much against this. If I finally find a legendary or set item worth one billion gold, I would like to be able to trade it for gold or items with people who are not currently in my party.

Well, if it can only be traded for the next two hours with people in game, what's it really worth? As much as the other three people in game would bid it up to, and nothing more.

They are leaning more and more towards the WOW mechanics.
At least in Diablo we still get individual loot and don't have to "Need/Greed" roll on each item that drops.

Not every person that'll want X piece of gear will be online when you find it. It's Murphy's Law and I've experienced it enough while playing Path of Exile. When you want to buy a piece of gear, nobody is online. When you don't everybody is. Same goes for selling.

Well as it stands now the people to trade with have to be in your party in game.
How could they be offline while they are in your party?
But hopefully they will change this part to extend to others beeing online (not only party members) and/or extended time frame.

So it's not really trading so much as giving? What's going to be the currency for trades? And it will create pressure to know what the going price of an item is on the spot. I'm not really a fan.

I can tell you what I am thinking is going to happen:

AH and RMAH go away...as they stated over and over in the video, they think that finding items in game is the best, most rewarding, etc, blah blah....

Remember how in the ROS pics that everything was BOA? Guess what boys and girls...there will be no trading...that is going to be their solution to 3rd party sites...all items are BOA. They wont have to mess with any trade channels this way either..It only make sense since all they keep saying is that they want everything self found...

Think I am gonna wait to buy the expansion, because if I am correct, as boring as this game can be....there will be no point for me to play personally...I am just hoping I am not correct with this, but I am thinking that might be what will be the end result of Loot 2.0

What they are doing is pretty close to this...it's a shame, completely BS IMO....will be no reason to play honestly for me...
