This is a guide to help people get the Good Reads achievement.
Which requires People Finder, Field Research, Historian of Westmarch and Beastmaser of Westmarch. General notes on finding books: **Book lists are character dependent. So if you found parts 1&2 of something on one char, playing with a new char won't give you part 3, but will give you part 1 again. **Finding multiple parts of a book sometimes require you to reload the same area and finding more satchels of the correct type over and over until you have found all the parts. You will probably not get all parts in one run. ** I didn't go to adventure mode, all books were found in normal mode. The lists: Ok Beastmaster I'm not going to explain. You should be able to get most, if not all of these in about just one play through. People finder is quite a long list, but most were found in play through. Lord Kertis's Journal - - - - - - - - - - Found in Paths of the Drowned after the Lord of Fools random event. The Horrible Secret - - - - - - - - - - - Found in House of Deep Sorrow, a dungeon area in Westmarch Commons Urzael's Journal - - - - - - - - - - - - - These are found in Urzael's satchel during the first few areas of act 5. Westmarch Commons & Gideon's Row The King's Journal, Part 1 - - - - - - Found in Contested Villa, Dungeon area off Westmarch Commons after The Rebellious Rabble event. The King's Journal, Part 2 - - - - - - Found in Clyfton Hall, Dungeon area off Westmarch Heights after The True Son of the Wolf event. Adria's Journal - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Found in Adria's Satchel in middle part of act 5. Paths of the Drowned, Blood Marsh The Testament of Rakkis - - - - - - - Found in Passage of Corvus and Ruins of Corvus in satchels The Testament of Inarius - - - - - - - Found in Pandemonium fortress 1&2 in satchel Ancient Writings The Writings of Lilith - - - - - - - - - - Found in Pandemonium fortress 1&2 in satchel Ancient Writings Sibyl's Memory - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Found in the enchantress side event, Sister's voice, area The Lair of the Prophet. After she speaks to her sister wait a while and a blue bubble will appear in the sky, click on it. My pleasure.
As always glad if it can be of use. I did consider updating the guide, or writing a new one for the cursed events, but with bounties is so easy to find them, and you don't even need to know the locations beforehand. As soon as I finish the events I might write something up for them though. |

I have been playing D3 since 8 am EST. Right now it is nearly 6pm and I haven been doing private games on normal to finish up finding books, lores, and events. The best way to do this was through adventure mode since I would start a game, and if it is not part of the bounty then i create another... and so on
After maybe 50 or more games I have noticed that the following events/unique monsters do not show up: Act I John Coffin (ghost) Act II Cursed Archive Act V Cursed Peat Tollifer's Last Stand Walk in the Park Lost Treasure Brood Mother Reliquary War that time forgot Demonic Prisoner Lost Host Demon Prison Ancient Prison Crystal Prison Demon Souls Brutal Assault Just a heads up, I do not want you guys to waste time. So I suggest you to just find these on a normal campaign game. |

It's been on my list to highlight this on the guide listing page for a while but it was on the back-burner for a bit. I had done a semi re-write of the DiabloHub guide system when I launched version 2 but I was not fully happy with it. Which was the main reason for the delay... but I have finally completed it and posted the guide. However it honestly did not the added attention, this thread gathered over 23,000 views alone from Google and other sources. Good job Bort.

I recently got into the alpha for it and want to get that website up soon. Lots to do! Luckily people like @bort, @mentok1982 and @PrvtPiLe have been a lot of help allowing me to focus my attention on the back end coding. It will be much easier for me to post guides in the future or highlight any community written guide. If you are well versed in HTML in would be super easy for me to copy paste any guides as I have gone away from a special bbcode style the old guide system had. |
