Prices going to drop again? They jumped pretty good when patch notes came out, and last I saw the Essences ended up going for about 1300 per. What are the predictions on crafting mats between here and also post 1.0.4?

Essence, Tome, and Brimstone costs plateauing?

If I was to make an educated guess as to where the prices were to go, I'd have to say that they will drop until 1.0.4 comes out and that they will jump again when the patch comes out and people see the actual changes (that is, if they are really beneficial changes).
I'm no business major or psychic, but that's my educated guess. |

I also predict it stabilizing. Plans (some, not all) however I see steadily or even greatly rising as they have a greater demand and actually allow manufacturing. Buy the car company or buy the steel? I'd say company first and steel second. In this case, steel isn't even needed if you have a "bring your own mat" event.

The Brimstone just seems to increase and decrease constantly all day, i saw it at a high of 240K earlier today. I see almost all legendaries that have a buyout of 200K are all gone at once,a lot of people are bidding on legendaries up to 200k max so they can salvage the brimstone and make a quick buck :-)

Looks like Demon's Carapice hit an all time high today also. These multiple piece legendary plans are likely to remain hot.

The brimstone just went nuts. Doubled price in one day. Hope you all bought it at 200k.

I sure did! Brims are long term investment. I expect them to stable out at 400k until pre/post patch. They will certainly jump at that point to 750k+.

I think brimstone prices just jumped because of the blog post being out. If you checked out the average of today's trades they were still around 215k... meaning the people that put in the higher prices were undercut and people 'buying' for 400k or whatever got nice refunds. I think it's just a jump in prices as more people try to stockpile pre-patch.

Now it's hovering around 350k. If I had more gold I'd probably buy more, I expect them to be back up in at least the 500k range once 1.0.4 hits.

Just bought 200 more at 350k. Look at a $0.60 to $0.70 target to sell on the RMAH when the patch finally hits.

Price will spike for sure for at least a day or two post patch, especially if crafters are finding themselves getting favorable rolls on items.

I did the math on this once, and after about 100 blues from act 2, (small sample size I know), you would get an average of about 700 gold per salvageable item (ilvl 60+), but if you salvaged it at the time, you'd get around 830 for selling that essence post salvage. While vendoring is much less time consuming, you are losing around 100 bucks per. But at a certain point (and I'm getting close) picking up blues aren't worth the time. |
