I'll be doing Tough Mudder this Saturday. If I don't log back in by Monday, I'm in the hospital. =)

Anyone else do crazy and or fun activities?

Other than Mountain Biking I have been pretty lazy lately :( Although I plan on going skydiving soon which falls under the "crazy activities" section.

Oh and that Tough Muddger looks freaking awesome.

My friend Manse23 finished this year's Spartan Race in Québec.

The race was awesome! If you get a chance to do the Tough Mudder, do it! Hope to see you at one next year.

This was probably my favorite obstacle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zawSX4OmCFs.

LOL! I would get completely destroyed by that. I can't even handle a 10-12 mile run!

@Khan

Where are you located? Was this in America?

I'm in California. Yeah, this race was in Patterson, CA but they have them all over. Personally, I can't run 3 miles (I hate cardio and usually train for powerlifting). There's a lot of walking and "jogging" and, of course, obstacles to interrupt your journey.

Holy shit dude! I'm in Silicon Valley myself! LOL, I did not know where Patterson was, but I just looked it up and it's just east of San Jo, just... through a lot of desert XD.

But yeah, I can't handle that... it's a little too hardcore for me. BUT I can run 3 miles in under 20 minutes :D!

Cool. I work in Oakland 3 days out of the week and telecommute the other 2.

3 miles in under 20 minutes? Yeesh. Thats probably my walking time.

I live near Sunnyvale/Mountain View. Small world!

I'm guessing you meant your walking time is 3 MPH. Walking 3 miles in 20 minutes would be like, ultra powerwalking, which, from what I've heard, is actually tougher than running.

Yeah, thats what I meant. Cardio=eww, for me.

I live in N.Y. and am travelling to San Francisco this Saturday for the Buffalo vs. San Francisco game this Sunday...

This in no way relates to how fit i am. I am, however in shape. Round is definately a shape, is it not?

I have come to the realization that this will likely happen but it's more for the experience. Never been to San Fran before and hear its a cool town.

I love this town. Almost as much as NY...If hadn't been recruited to move here, I would have gone to NY.

How long are you staying?

@Kahn

I'm actually not in NYC which I am assuming is what you meant when talking about your work. I actually live upstate.

Leaving on Sat afternoon from here, leaving Mon evening around 9pmish (?) Not to long all actually. Really just about 2 full days.

Tickets to the game, airfare and hotel all for under 1k...my wife is an online shopping expert fo' sho'.

For one of my jobs I'm actually a personal trainer, so I manage to stay pretty active. I like to focus on gymnastic based exercises for upper body and mostly Olympic lifts and front squats for lower body.

I used to train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA but it's been a while since I was able to do so consistently.

I loves me some cleans, deadlifts, and overhead pressing. Unlike most Americans, I don't consider a big bench a sign of overall strength and power.

I mountain bike some, and am a pretty avid backpacker and rock climber.

I do a lot of road biking and running/races during the warmer months. I would enter some triathlons but though I am a good swimmer, I have a huge fear of the water, so that is a no go.

I mountain biked ages ago when Missy Giove and Team Cannondale were the rage. I can't swim if my life depended on it even though I was raised in Hawaii and engaged in the various watersports.
