I've been almost exclusively using the cookie cutter WW build up until 1.0.5 and am looking for new 2h build to meddle with. Has anyone experimented with a 2h build at all? Thoughts?

@phamalot Hey, i noticed you were REALLY new to the website and i thought i would say hi and welcome! As for 2h builds i personally have not tried any with my barb yet. I am a fan of dual wielding myself. I'm curious as to what 2h builds are out there though! I may have to try a build or two out ;)

I use a rend/cleave/HOTA build. mainly because I can't stand the thought of spinning in circles continuously.
Gloves could use an upgrade and a Skorn with LS would be better. If you have enough AR, you can probably sub out War Cry for Revenge or Overpower for the additional DPS. I can comfortably run MP5 with this build and gear. |

I just built a 2H barb today using some things I had in my stash and buying some items on the AH. The Bul Kathos Set is pretty cool to use. Did ubers with just my wife and I on MP5 and just broke a massacre record on MP8 with it for 360 monsters. No wonder this a much used character...

My bad. 2H as in 2 handed weapon and not meaning using dual-wield! At any rate, I'm experimenting with the full IK set so I'm using Boulder Breaker I found in the Fields of Slaughter. Its got an extra 2% crit chance for WW and looks "authentic" and purpose-built for Cleave but the attack speed is a bit horrible.

I love Rend. Does anyone if the effect stacks to some degree? Hit it twice real fast and you get 1800% damage over 5 seconds, etc.

I do not believe it works that way. AFAIK, it restarts the duration timer. Of course, I have no "official" proof of this, just a lot of rending.

Yup. Anuiran posted a video of a MP10 Azmodan throw barb. Beat him in under a minute. |

On a side note, Barb gear is so inexpensive compared to Wiz gear (APOC on items not necessary) so you may have some fun with the alt.
