this was a first for me... cleared the whole area and now KW.... so i went hunting and found him in a corner.... has this happened to anyone else?

Hasn't happened to me yet; he's usually at the very beginning or the very end for me. Though I've only fought him maybe 4-5 times, so not really a large enough sample space to come to any sort of statistical conclusion.

Yip. I also had to go hunt him down in one of the side bitsies. Not that exact one, but same deal. Had to go up some stairs to an area I never cover in my normal run.

I've had him up there before, but I go there anyway. I believe a pack can spawn at the top section so I kill them along the way, if that's the spot I'm thinking of.
There's also a part where you have to go up stairs to the left or down stairs on the right to continue. I've had him spawn on the lower section (which was super easy to kill him since it's so narrow down there). |

The worst is when looking for the act 2 keywarden and you cover all of Dalgur Oasis, only to find the keywarden in one of the two spots going south where you try to find one of the ingredients for the staff of herding.
