I've been selling gold on the RMAH for a few weeks but I've been building it up again, how long are you generally waiting for your gold to sell?

You guys must be lucky, my gold never sells, only put up <1m. Sold 10 tome of secrets though, who buys that off RMAH? Haha...

I was having difficulty selling all my gold in RMAH last week, but now it seems to be back to the norm, had no problem selling away all the gold I had posted in rmah now.

I didn't have any luck selling my 12 mil gold listed in the RMAH... someone told me that the RMAH gold is queued and only goes on sale when the timer is close to end. I need to calculate the time to post the gold, so the final minutes will be in a time frame that people check the AH... maybe it will sell this way.

So far i sold just 3 times my lot of gold. All of them a couple of minutes before the deadline. Now i've been waiting kind of a week and i didn't sell anything. I'm posting on the EU RMAH and it's damn slow these days. I wonder if i could play/sell on the US side.

My sales normally take 28hrs or so, and if I list in very large chunks (20m+) then I normally will not sell all of it.

The problem with trying to sell gold on the RMAH is that the minimum price is usually over $2 per million and gold selling websites are around $1.2 - $1.3 per million gold. Sure the RMAH won't get you banned, but unless you're buying billions of gold and monopolizing the AH, blizzard isn't really going to care.

I really hope they lower the floor from 25 cents to say 10 cents or something because like @StrangeTim said the price of gold is way cheaper on third party websites. Plus I just feel like it's way over priced right now and a bit silly that Blizzard is practically controlling the price of gold.

Issue is the third party sites will Always be lower than the rmah. They do not occur the same costs and can afford it. Plus if it isn't lower why would anyone take the ban risk. |

i've put up several gold auctions in the past few weeks, and it always takes the entire 36 hours to sell. it seems to be complete luck whether it sells or not. sometimes none will sell, sometimes all of it will sell, but usually only a small portion of it sells. i don't know exactly how the queue system works, but like others said it seems to only make your gold available to buyers in the final few mins before it expires. so you just need to time it so the auction expires during peak hours. so try listing it early in the morning at like 7 am (before work or w/e) so it'll expire at 7 pm when most people are playing/buying.

Exactly. Usually takes me about 2 days to sell big amounts. When I try small portions, it just doesn't sell. Blizard should change the price.. |

I tried selling 2 million, but it never gets bought. I guess most people are buying gems and selling them for gold.

When you sell your gold, make sure you price it at even numbers (e.g. 1,000,000; 2,000,000, 10,000,000). I have always sold mine in increments such as this and it usually sells in a very reasonable amount of time, usually within a day (or even hours).
