Hardcore Diary Part V : MP10 - Hell Act 1

I am writing this Part V of my MP10 journey in Hardcore, for my WD UlumuluWey.

Hardcore is an addiction. I have not touched my softcore P70 monks for a few weeks, I even forgot to log on to softcore to do some 100m flippings (last I did is a flip from 100m to 150m of Nats Rings, and darn the 15% cut).

MP10, is a crave. I want to fight each battle as though it was my last. I want to gear check myself for each fight. I have to be mentally ready, gear ready. I crave for the crazy excitements and heart pumping actions. I even crave for the feeling of big regret when my toon nearly die (my WD nearly die at Nightmare Diablo MP10).

I am continuing my WD into Hell Act 1 now. If I am not careful, this could well be my R.I.P. post for my WD. I hope the followings would help me survive better:

1. By outleveling the monsters (through faster XP gains from MP10)
2. By good gearing (within a good budget, I am not buying the 5m VileWard!)
3. By playing carefully
4. By simply being a WD

I opened the Jar of Souls at the Cemetery just now. It has never been so fun!

I will keep updates to my other 4 classes in Hardcore Diary Part III : MP10 [Nightmare, Act 1]

I will provide the table of stats during boss fights later, or when and how I die!

Killed Skeleton King last night at Hell MP10. The next death match would be between UlumuluWey and The Butcher.

Overall, it was an easy fight with Skeleton King.

Pets: zombie dogs with life link, Gargantum with Relentless Assault.
Poison Darts splintters for single target SK, and I conserved the mana for AoE spell Acid Cloud with range rune for the summoned skeletons.
The other active skills are Spirit Barrage and Jaunt - but not used in that fight at all.

More nasty battles would be against some difficult elites. At times all my three dogs and/ or Gargantum will be killed, or some mobs will get pass my pets when they are all scattered around (my way to deal with it is to run backwards, and the Gargantum and pets will re-appear beside you).

Bought a few LRR gears at bargain:

50k Helm
100k OH
120k 1H

Now sitting at a mana pool of 1080, with 80.75 mana regen per second. Note: need investigation, I can't figure out why my regen seems high.

How much mana regen per second that a WD get, not including those from gears and skills?

My gears give 21.
Inspire gives 4.
Spiritual Attunement gives 10.8.

The total from the above is 35.8, which means I have about 45 short from the total of 80.8, at level55. Maybe 1 extra regen gained per level after level11?

Yup, your base mana regen is 45. Used to be 20 pre 1.04. It is 45 the whole time, you don't gain mana as you lvl up.

Thanks.

45 is nice! But that is bigger than my lvl60 gears + passive skills............what a love.

UlumuluWey is now dead at lvl56. Disconnection.

Not sure how it happened........it just said that I was disconnected. Then said there is an error switching hero and then I found my hero dead.

Oh well, premature death.

Back to leveling up my other classes lol.

Goodness me.

Just when I recollected myself over the death of my WD and log in my monk, the same thing happened again, saying that my connection has timed out. What does that mean?

Anyway, now I lost my monk as well. This is a BIG discouragement!

Oh man, sorry to hear. When you dc'ed, did you like check if your actual internet connection dropped? Usually my disconnects are due to my own internet problems, but I guess it's possible the fault is on Battlenet. Also yea, after deaths like that it takes a while to want to play again. Take a little break I guess...

Ouch, sorry to hear this. I had massive lag spikes yesterday too, and got disconnected a couple times with a battle net error.

I had recently upgraded my internet connection so I figured that was it, but it sounds like bnet was having some problems yesterday. The AH seemed very slow as well, and was giving me weird search results on the SC Gold AH...only two Stormcrows out there? not likely.

sorry for their deaths @douvinsky
Yesterday was a hard day for bnet servers - usually on EU servers I have 70ms ingame but yesterday best was 460. So I just logged off.
I hope it was a nice journey for you and your toons at all

So, I have taken a break from Hardcore since the death of my WD and Monk in the same night.

During the break, I have power leveled a WD and a Wizard from 1-60 at softcore hence now I have 60 of all classes at softcore. Patch 1.07 hit and I did a few runs at softcore with my max MF 170k Tempest Rush Monk. Gotten some legs and plans, crafted two bracers, but I guess I am feeling bored again.

It is not the time to quit D3. It is time to revisit Hardcore. It is an addiction to embrace the risk of permanent death.

About time!!! Getting lonely all by my self. If it works out I wouldn't mind lvling with you. If that doesn't work farming inferno will be fun as well.

UlumuluWey's sister, Vulumoolu, is seeking revenge for her brother's death.

She is leveling up fiercely now in MP10. She is not alone.

Normal MP10
Level 1-7 : Questlines
Level 8-11: Carried by @Zerokewl in Act III
Level 12-17: Grinding at FW, WPs unlocked by @yoyo
Level 18: She nearly die at Desolate Sand, retreated to BCM.
Level 19-23: VoTA, WPs unlocked by yoyo
Level 24-26: Carried by zerokewl in Act III

Level27-28: Keep1. Sticked my head into Tower of the Damned, nearly die to phasebeasts, a few of them + an elite pack of Phasebeasts. I took a chance to horrify and jaunt into the crater. If there was any monsters at the end of the crater, I would have die with my little remaining HPs.

Level29-30: Keep 1 & Keep 2. Finally reached level30, and unlocked the most wanted Spirit Vessel passive.
