Power Rushing 1 - 60 [Solo Mode, MP10]

One of the sweet memories..............

Spent 2m on this reduced level Echoing Fury at 50 to level two toons. Now done with it and manage to get it sold for 50m. I suspected it should have been listed for 20m when I bought it. No commas FTW.

Another sweet memory..............

I sold my Genzaniku - Slayer of Human for over 10m after tax.
Doubled my earlier investment of 5m.

The value of its level9 socket in leveling has increased after patch 1.07 changes to ruby. In fact I saw people trying to corner the market right before patch 1.07...........I was thinking about doing the same but I was too slow, and also partly because I morally don't quite like the idea of depriving people of something as good as this "Slayer of Humans".

One thing to note is that the summoned Fallen Champion is quite helpful to serve as an extra tank/ distraction in HC..............so I have one equipped on my follower at HC.

Corner the market on a clvl 9 weapon? It saves probably 20 minutes going from 9 to 15. If you're a professional powerleverl maybe that makes a difference, but to me it looks like most leveling gear is simply based on convenience. No matter how good an item is, people won't really pay more than about 200k other than a spectrum and apparently the Genzanikus.

I was initially surprised that people pay good gold on some levelling gears. Apart from this softcore Genzaniku, I also successfully sold one hardcore Genzaniku for 10m hardcore gold (equivalent to 30-40m softcore gold), besides other levelling gears. But the more I think about it, there are some rich players out there who doesn't care about rational cost vs benefit analysis, and have nothing better to use with their golds. I started with zero gold balance at hardcore and my highest toon was only 56. During my break from Hardcore I simply flipped good leveling gears using my low capital, and I am satisfied that I have multiplied my initial capital to over 30m+.

Personally, at softcore I also spent close to 100m (mainly 50m on 2 Leoric Signets, and 25m on a Spectrum, I keep a spreadsheet of significant things I bought in this exercise) while leveling my remaining two softcore toons. I also resell what I have finished using, usually for a profit. That includes a level23 Squirt's Necklace for 1 million when I bought it at 21 thousands. I am at times not rational as well, I know that I will outlevel some of the gears just in a few levels and I do not "really need" those gears, but it is a matter of making my fresh toon looks good. Since I am not quite a rational player myself, my guess is I can always sell stuffs which I like and am willing to pay a huge premium for them, to people who behave like me.

A lot of things make no sense on the AH :)

Why do people buy items on RMAH for say 10M when they can click the same button I do to switch markets and find the same item on GAH for 1M? There is no "barrier" to getting between the two market places but people are willing to pay a lot more on one. It makes no sense but I'm happy to profit from it :)

I spent a fair amount of time bargain hunting when I was leveling my Barbarian from clvl 1 (and Barbs so ridiculously OP I'm nearly paragon 20 already, but whatever). I sold nearly everything I bought at a profit when I was leveling him. I'm thinking about starting a Monk from scratch, though I have a clvl 44 WD from Patch 1.0.3 that I could just power through to 60. So much Diablo to play so little time.

I've just started to level my monk today. Level 20 doing MP10. Need to think on Cains/Borns set & if they're worthwhile, hm..... but it is pretty nice being able to use your hellfire rings! Not levelled a character since 1.0.2.

Look out Diablohub.com members, monk noob incoming :D

MP10 = +100% XP
Hellfire = +35% XP (+7% followers)
Cain's = +30% XP
Ruby = minimum Star +25% XP
Leoric = +20-30% XP on character (too bad I sold off both my Leoric Signets at SC, converting every gold I have to HC, else I could lend them to you)

In general every little bit of +XP bonus helps, although when measured in game time they may not be that significant, you would land at 60 in 8-10 hours anyway, so you are talking about at most 1-2 hours delay. FYI the first mob in Normal gives 40 XP, so +XP per kill is quite significant early on.

My advice is........if you are playing solo, enjoy it!

BTW linking my 2 movement legs from Hardcore............if you are using monk's passive +10% Fleet Footed you probability do not need them.

Thanks! It was a blast.. and not knowing any of the skills made it fun too :) Now level 25 mid way through A2.

I didn't realise the prices for Cains/Borns would be so low, so I got them. I'm using Cains pants instead of helm like @Khan recommended as I bought a leg Spirit Stone with spirit regen.
Also been picking up every blue and salvaging, and made a nice +XP/dex/vit belt on first roll at the blacksmiths.

The low level AH market seems still active, I made some nice little profits in items I used early on then resold.

Yes, haha. At Hardcore my choice would be tilted towards surival skills. In Normal Act 1, before more skills became available, I actually used Dashing Strike (hope I get the mane right lol) to glide pass the skeletons and put an end to The Summoners first before they could call forth more armies.

Yup dashing strike is fun :D It doesn't really seem to matter, things just melt in front of me and I looted a crappy blue bow for the scoundrel with cold damage so everything is frozen. Who needs a Buriza!

If someones got a leorics I could borrow that'd be sweet, after the Monk I'm going to do Wizard.

Matters to my monk at hardcore MP10 since she doesn't have Hellfire or Genzaniku with socket :(. Now I missed the Genzaniku which I flipped from 100k to 10m Hardcore gold.

Why is it so good? I found a rare for 50K with socket +XP, chucked in a ruby and it was great. I did sell it back for 500k :)

Genzaniku start at 16M on softcore.

Good just because of the starting level of 9. It is a one shot skeleton king.

What? 16m already! I should have flipped more of them instead of just 10?

Yep that is lowest price buy-out some are up at 25M+, I bid on one to use then flip but lost out at 12.5M.

I managed to get a Born's sword with OS for 500K on 1d11h which was as steal, cheapest is 1.5M it should work well duel wielding with a Fist for spirit regen.
