I found this Manticore last night - (no screen as of yet - am at work)
DPS - 1098 sockets - 2 Dex - 185 CD - 95% LOH - 490 Can't find one with all those stats and my build isn't based on crits. I would have to regear to make it work right... |

Wow, that is a very nice Manticore! I was bidding on just such a crossbow in SC last night (my search criteria was double socket, CD 95%+, IAS 11%, and Dex 100+), & they were all going for way past 6 million gold, which was already out of my budget since all I had was 5 million gold; & there was still several hours left on those bids, so they were still going up up up... And yours also has LoH, which is definitely a huge plus (probably even moreso in HC?)
Since someone else on the forums in another thread said that the HC:SC exchange rate is roughly 3:1, I'm guessing you could easily get over 20 million gold for this baby... But then again, I don't play HC at all, so please don't quote me on that.. :) Congrats again on the very nice find though! |

I have decided to hang onto it for now as it is unlikely to lose value and when I build up some extra cash, I'll make some nice emeralds for it and get some CC equipment...

question! if you have multiple HC chars, do they also share your stash? Can friends raid your body in the event you die?
the reason i ask is i would be very sad if i found something nice in HC, trying to sell it, then unexpectedly died, losing the item :( i thought 2xsocket manticores were more exp than 6m on SC, especially with LOH and 95% CD |

If you die you lose your items, there is however a shared stash for HC.

Even though my HC stash is full (mainly gear for my next demon hunter), I don't carry the manticore around while I am fighting... :)
One other point for shniggles is that you don't lose the progress made with the blacksmith or jeweler and you still have your hardcore cash to help your next character along. As far as a price goes - I am thinking it is worth close to 200 - 250 million HC gold, but who has that much gold to spend in HC? |

Oh yah, I'm quite sure they're more than 6m on SC... I stopped paying attention to how much further it was going up when it hit that point cause it was already out of my budget...! :) |
